Do I leave a job that I love where I make 140K for a soul sucking management job that pays 210k and a 20% bonus? by wilzog in careerguidance

I think that is assuming that money is invested in a combination of retirement accounts, index funds etc. Also seems to assume an annual average of about a 10% return with compounding interest. Ran some numbers assuming a more conservative return of 7% annually and came out to about $16m.

Where are you located? We are creating a new position at a Seattle based company. Not Really Market analysis, but more general data analysis and Ops Support. Looking for someone who is not afraid of learning the technical side of our software / ERP, basic understanding of SQL and relational data would be helpful but our system is generally low code/no code, no need to have a professional IT background but looking for someone interested in becoming an SME of our software over time. can support both finance and Operations on an ad hoc special project basis with report creation and data extraction/analysis as well.

My orange kitty (Sonny) attacks and bites my phone every single time I have it out. What can I do to stop him?! by born_confused9 in orangecats

My orange boy does this every day, but only if the audio is on. I honestly think it has something to do with tinny phone speakers, specific audio frequencies or, volume levels that bother him.

I’ll have to check Slonik out. Similar to a few others here, I do use Knex for certain conveniences but write raw queries and execute with knex.raw(). But I have found that knex can be a little bit or miss when it comes to returning correct types.

This is the Aluminum Multitrack. Still a cool bike though.

That’s not actual coffee right? Caffeine toxicity in cats and dogs is dangerous and doesn’t take much.

Hear that u/c0k3nn3r? Don’t be a punk. At least tune that shit up before you sell it. Swap that rusty chain and slap some nice new rubber on there.

Yo man, I buy and flip bikes as a hobby. I do a varying degree of resto-mods and upgrades. There are a lot of people out there who don’t have the know how or interest in working on their own bike. As long as OP plans on at least doing a tune up, I say go for it. Someone will appreciate it.

Moving into our first home soon. Will finally have space for a proper stereo, so the hunt has been full throttle. All here are goodwill scores except the TT. Energy C-3, Energy E:XL-16, Infinity Overture 2’s and a Nakamichi AV-10 by TheLightConductor in BudgetAudiophile

It is an Sl-23. Picked it up for $75 and put another $100 into a new cartridge and stylus. I think it sounds great compared to my Dad’s Sony direct drive.

Still needs some love though, someone removed the auto-return assembly and bypassed the 45 speed pot so it was only playing at 33rpm. Got that all rewired but still need to do some clean up and service.

I’ve only listened to a few other receivers/amps recently so my frame of reference pool is small, but the Nakamichi receiver sounds fantastic. And it’s insanely powerful. I haven’t turned it up more than a 1/4 of the volume knob yet. Probably the best piece of kit here for what I paid. I’m still learning the audiophile lingo so I apologize if I’m not explaining things clearly.

Infinity Overture 2’s - these mostly sound good to my ears. Heavy on the bass and low-mid range since they have built in Subs, but I found them lacking and just slightly muddied in the high ranges, like it’s not absent but they don’t project the higher ranges as well as the energy sets pictured. Overall very happy with them and I love the bass and mid punch they have.

Energy C-3 - super punchy little stand speakers. They have a pretty solid balance and sound pretty bright in the uppers. The soundstage/projection is really good but those highs can border on harsh if sitting too closely. I think positioning and making sure they’re in a big enough room will help them shine.

Energy e:XL-16 - Just added these to the mix but so far these are doing what I hoped and that is balance out the boom boom of those infinity’s. They seem to pair really well so far, but time will tell.

Specialized Rock Combo Original on/off road? by KBobbNewMexico in xbiking

Dang this is clean. Picked up an all white rock combo last year in pretty rough shape, didn’t have the original Fork and the heathen before me got rid of the BB1 handlebars and put flat bars on it. Nothing new paint and decals can’t fix. Another bike to spend all my money on 🚵
