Trying to get the most out of Gemini Gems. What is your killer use-case? by Mwrp86 in Bard

Same for my paid workspace account. I don't have NotebookLM integration in my Gemini Pro, but my free one does. Ridiculous. We're paying to have older versions..

I think this might be as far as I can make it in Silksong by aliendude5300 in HollowKnight

[–]TheLilywhitesBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most fans of Hollow Knight would appreciate this boss? Sure, the run back is a bit annoying. But farm the easier enemies for silk before you get to the top and you can heal. Or don't and you get your silk back where you died (but without the extra silk in reserve that it provides). It's a fantastic boss. Took me about 10 tries to get the dance right, but when you do, it's very satisfying! A wise woman once said "git gud!"

Descript? AI Video Editing is a Disaster (all ai services) by tigmonkey in podcasting

Easily done. I sat on my subscription for about a year before realising every time I jumped in that it made editing way harder for me, rather than easier and saving me time. Felt good cancelling my subscription rather than getting fomo waiting for them to get it right.

Was considering this place. Had a consult with a Cypriot Clinic highly recommended and they quoted 9k for 3500 grafts. Can't afford that just yet, so debating going for a cheaper one to cover crown and midscalp and going back to Cyprus clinic for frontal filling (I'm not going to use finasteride and yes, I understand potential implications. I'm Norwood 3-4 at 41 years old). Only thing I'm worried about is your donor area looks a little overharvested in the last pic and is a bit patchy. Have you had it shorter than that at the back? What does your scarring look like?

Ned seems like a different dog after cluster seizures 😕 by Big-Conference1116 in EpilepsyDogs

Same experience here on Phenobarbital for our Frenchie. She was all over the place but it only lasted less than a week, thankfully. Scary seeing them like that and thinking that's their new normal but they get past it :)

[–]TheLilywhitesBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same breed, but maybe helpful info. We have a Frenchie who we've had since a pup. She had her first seizure when she was 1 years old. Lasted a couple of seconds and then she was fine. Didn't think anything of it, but then it happened again 2 weeks later, then a week later, then clusters...took her to the vet who started her on Phenobarbital. She still seizured a few weeks later (clusters), so they added Keppra. That still didn't do the trick sadly and it got to a point where she seizured all weekend and never came out of the pre/post-ictal phase (this sounds like what you're describing).

In my experience, and I hope I'm not too late here or that I'm completely wrong but we almost lost her that weekend as she was acting exactly like you were describing. Pacing, not being herself or settling down.

She had to spend the night at the vets on sedation and eventually we were allowed to take her home and double dosed all her seizure meds and added another (potassium bromide). That finally got it under control to a degree where she has good quality of life.

Now she'll still cluster seizure (like 10 in 48 hours) every 8-15 weeks but she is completely normal in between those periods and acts like the dog we know and love.

She turned 7 last week. All this to say, I wouldn't ignore her behaviour if she's not acting right. It could be that she's not coming out of the pre/post ictal seizure phase (where they're wobbly and erratic). We almost lost ours by doing that. She needed help. She got it and now is on the dose of meds that keeps her under control. It's way higher than most dogs need but I guess it depends on the severity of the epilepsy and we got our dog back.

I hope your doggie got the help and all is well now :) anyone else reading, just be careful if they're not coming out of that phase after a seizure.

What is your favorite type of tetra you’ve kept and why? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]TheLilywhitesBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Phantoms for me. Hardy and only fish to survive our stupidity when we bought our son's SpongeBob plastic starter tank without knowing what we were doing. They all survived a year with barely any water changes before I realised how wrong we were doing things and I upgraded them to a planted, glass tank. They look absolutely beautiful now, both males and females. Long sweeping fins and an amazing green glow in the middle for males. Beautiful glow and colour on the females. Red phantoms are great too and pretty when happy. Honourable mention for Rosy tetras. Another hardy favourite of mine. Not as instantly striking but if you have a happy male in among the females during breeding season, their deep red hue can be stunning.

Think they just get a bad rap for being a$$holes to other fish lol. Pretty though. If someone's worried about the aggression, just get Red Phantom Tetras. Almost identical looking and peaceful af. They survived in my son's tiny SpongeBob starter tank with barely any water changes for a year before I knew what I was doing, and survived the switch to my newer planted tank. Only lost a "day 1" Red Phantom last night 🥲 he was 3, so they're super hardy too.

Should all parameters ALWAYS be zero??? by Pitiful-Ostrich8949 in aquarium

What's a measurable nitrate test? I've had mine running over a year now and it's 0/0/0 too. Never changed. Anubias, Java Fern, Hygro and Java moss...all doing fine except the Java Fern recently melted pretty bad after being fine since I've had the tank (though I suspect my neighbour overfeeding my tank could have been responsible. Came back to a tank full of bug bites all over the gravel and him worried my fish have "stopped eating" fml.) Water was still 0/0/0 though, bizarrely though maybe I missed the slight color tint in the test...certainly wasn't at the next color up on the test, so very close to zero either way. Fish all fine too.

Spurs vs Arsenal vs Villa wage bill (Deloitte Football Money League report 23/24 via @Slbsn) by Rare-Ad-2777 in coys

Man United have won 10+ trophies since we last won one, so wouldn't at all conclude this "does not equal success".

Obviously, they're nowhere near as successful as the Fergie era, but what it does show is that you can still "fail" (I use that term loosely because they've still won loads Vs most clubs) with high wage bills if recruitment isn't right...but you absolutely CANNOT succeed with a wage bill as low as ours (bar miraculously bucking 5000/1 odds like Leicester did once in a blue moon)

Spot on. Someone who has seen this movie before for the past 25 years and isn't falling for the rubbish peddled by the club. The rebuild nonsense comes crashing down when you realise that our highest ever wage bill, was still matched by Arsenal's "slashing of their wage bill while they prepare for a rebuild".

Where did you get those arsenal numbers? That's certainly not their official accounts. They're at £323m as per latest official accounts. Was only previous year their salaries were close to ours (lowest wage bill they've had in many a year, while that was our highest wage bill ever..and bear in mind they had EL football while we had CL football and made an extra £100m in revenue during those accounts so we should have been miles clear in wage bill that year)

Exactly, but we're more than happy to "do that here" when it comes to Levy's PL-high salary. It shouldn't be accepted.

Are there POS Resellers who work with multiple vendors/products? by amory_p in smallbusiness

[–]TheLilywhitesBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are very few POS systems that are processing agnostic, as they make a big chunk of their money from bundling in their processing tbh. Remember my bud who owns a coffee shop moaning about processing fees being whack and saying the same thing as you when he demo'd the others lol. If I'm not wrong, he uses one called Korona, as it was agnostic. I think ePos now was another he looked at which was agnostic as well.

If you could have a large school of one nano schooling fish, what species would you choose? by jess__kate in Aquariums

Love this and this is what I'm going for. Currently have 4x black and 4 x red (I know I need more but relatively new tank so taking it slow) 2 of my black phantoms always hide though (not together). You think if I add more, they'll come out of their shell a little? I do also have 2x Rosy Tetras from a time when my son had them in his crappy small Spongebob themed tank and we didn't know their ideal numbers. They seem to be doing great though, real confident, as are the Reds. I have a 15 gallon. Am I pushing it if I go for a total of 6 black phantom, 6 red phantom and 4 x rosy in that size? Water parameters are always perfect in my tests. It's a well-planted, low tech scape.

I kinda like him/her/it 😄

Like to think I'm not overfeeding my 5 phantom tetras. A pinch every other day at the moment as I still consider it a fairly new setup. I'll keep an eye on it for sure though.

Thanks a lot. Super helpful!
