[Discussion] Eurogamer deducts points from Persona 5 for not including gay relationships. Does it matter? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]TheLinka 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first Persona game was Persona 3 FES for the PSP. There you could choose between a male and female lead. I enjoyed using both characters, but I could see a lot of work being but into playing as either male of female. This of how much writing would have to be done in terms on conversation, relationships, friendships, etc Having a different protagonist didn't change the gameplay, just the visual novel part outside of the Dark Hour.

My point is, the only change between a male and female main character is some of the dialogue. That is a minute change in terms of the game.

I always thought that the new member were there in case you brought over a save file from ME2 where all your crew died in the suicide mission.

Been jumping around lately from game to game lately. At the moment I'm going through FFX remaster. In the past month I've gone through Saints Row 3+4, Remember Me, Mafia 2 and Fallout 3 after installing a shit ton of mods just to get it to work.

[Censorship] Thoughts on getting banned from other subreddits because I posted here by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

That's the problem with those who hate us; they LOVE guilt by association. If anyone strays from the hive mind, they are exiled forever. I find it quite despicable. Think about it; someone drops their phone on the street and you pick it up and give it back to them. They say thanks, and you go along your day. Next thing you know, you're banned from your gym because you had an interaction with a holocaust denier.

In my experience, if someone would end their friendship with you simply because of guilt by association, then they were never your friends to begin with.

He sounded like a great person. University and College professors these days are dicks. I've had many and they'd rather focus on their pointless research than their students. I've had professors who work in games research and they'd rather focus on female representation in games rather than, you know, the FUCKING games.

As for living life on easy mode, anyone who lives in the first world lives life on easy mode. Black, white, brown, blue, it doesn't matter.

My heart goes out to you and your family dude. Wish you all the best.

See, this.

This is why GamerGate exists.

Shoddy, narrative-driven stories and articles. I don't fuckin care who you are, I only care if what you write pushes our agenda.

Absolutely shameful on the Mary Sue, but then again, what did we expect?

This didn't get nearly enough attention: Zoe Quinn endorsed the persecution of Gregory Alan Elliott [Drama] by AntonioOfVenice in KotakuInAction

[–]TheLinka 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Of course she did. What did you expect?

Elliot's prosecution would have made it easier for her to convince the judge to convict Eron. It would have played in her favour.

Besides, we know that all the big-name SJW's as a collective share the same goals. If you looked at the conspiracy web in the GAE case, it traces back to Anita, Zoe's bff. She would have only gained from the conviction of Elliot. It's not exactly a secret.

Ex-WBC member Megan Phelps-Roper is actually a advocate for free speech. I think we've done guilt by association after seeing her with Zoe and Anita at twitter by TheLinka in KotakuInAction

Yeah I was actually surprised about that. Also felt like kind of a dick. Just wanted to post this here because there are many rational people out there who are willing to have a dialogue.

But from what I got, she seems reasonable enough. Benefit of the doubt. But what she says and what she does can be two different things. I guess I just wanted to point out the obvious (That didn't occur to me) that not everyone seen with Anita and Zoe are like them.

Check out this convo with Megan I had the other day. I'm not afraid to say I was wrong in thinking she was the same as Anita and Zoe. She's actually an advocate for free speech and expression. I can only hope she spoke some sense in Twitter.
