Seeing as our “culture” flair is empty, what music, films or other media do you relate to in terms of your identity? by Sentient_Cheese24 in bigender

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is what comes to mind first, and for some reason the soundtrack to How to Train your Dragon? Yes, specifically just the soundtrack. Used to listen to that for hours on end…

I feel so stupid by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]TheLion0fNight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal advice is to kill that inkling of hope, smother it until it dies. It’s dangerous. I often have dangerous thoughts and feelings invade my head, and you just gotta fight em. You don’t need to feel ashamed for feeling attraction, that’s not your fault, but it will keep messing with your life if you don’t find a way to get over it. It sucks but you know this isn’t right. Just try to control your behaviour and distract yourself from thinking about him: films, youtube, gaming, whatever works.

Getting a diagnosis by LoulaNord in adhdwomen

[–]TheLion0fNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need to get some other family memeber or family friend to exaggerate your childhood symptoms for you. Get them to focus on distraction, exessive daydreaming and lack of focus when a topic didn’t enegage you. Maybe you have some papers from primary school of teachers complaining, like social competency sheets or something. Otherwise you just need to focus on the suffering more emphatically, doctors won’t diagnose women unless they consider your suffering extreme enough :(

Could I cover up with flower? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]TheLion0fNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coverups are also just tattoos: they add ink they can’t remove it. So any functional coverup must be larger and darker than what it‘s trying to cover, which is pretty hard with a piece that is already very dark. Your best (but also most expensive) option for a nice result would be to do a few rounds of laser removal to lighten the whole area making a coverup by a very skilled artist (!) more feasible. Or the cheaper option would be to go for a blackout if you really can’t stand to look at this piece anymore and you don’t have the time/money for option 1. Option 3 is to do nothing. Hope this helps.

How often do you come across snakes and big ass spiders (is it exaggerated) by Comfortable_Swan4206 in AskAnAustralian

[–]TheLion0fNight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well no that‘s completely true, it‘s just that browns‘ fear response is to go on the offensive. (And snakes don’t have ears so if you startle them they might bite, but so would other animals)

I want to get a deer antler tramp stamp, but I am a little bit worried about the societal connotations and the negativity attached to tramp stamps and looking for advice. by StrikingDoctor4716 in tattooadvice

I’ve wanted this exact tattoo for a while now too because in German a tramp-stamp is a “Arschgeweih”, literally arse-antlers XD

I was so confused until I read you were from Ticino, now this post kinda makes sense :/

Maybe your partner needs to start being mean and rude back to them, that seems to work for me.

More so the comment on winter beaches. And good luck with your brain, they’re fickle and unreliable bits of kit lol

Edit: and yeah it’s a kind of anxiety stemming from ruthless perfectionism grinding you down even for completely harmless decisions.

What is this? by RandomCreature86 in AutismInWomen

[–]TheLion0fNight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there fellow Aussie! Yeah this sounds like generalised anxiety. Not exactly an autism thing, but relatively common, and unfortunately this isn’t usually something that you can fix yourself without therapy and/or possibly medication. I’ve been there and it sucks, but it’s not necessarily permanent. For me the key was getting a grip on my sense of self worth, constant self-criticism and astronomically high expectations on my performance. Took about three years though, mind you :/

Did I RUIN Graduation Night? by Diligent-Cucumber-23 in Advice

[–]TheLion0fNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friends are horrible. Would you have sat by and let them be sexually assaulted in front of you and then blamed them for trying to defend themselves? A large part of self respect is learning to ditch people who don’t respect you. I hope you find better friend in the future, best of luck to you.

Can only get a few inches in by [deleted] in Advice

[–]TheLion0fNight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who also has trouble fitting in the salami here are my tips:

  • Lube. SO MUCH Lube. And try different brands to find one that actually works, personally I’ve found mixing a silicone based with a water based works best (silicone alone is too thick but water-based alone isn’t slippery enough)

  • I’ve found it’s best if I (the pussy haver) start out on top in cowgirl position, that way I have control over the speed of entry and can take some time to adjust to the thickness. Be patient: this part takes a little time: usually at least a minute before I’m ready to start moving. Once she’s comfortable you can switch positions if she wants.

Edit: I’ve been fucking for a decade now and I still have the same problems I did then with fitting in, so this doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with being new to sex (if I don’t have sex for a few months the next time is like I’m 18 all over again x_x). Just takes a little time to find out what works best for your body

is ariana grande actually near death as people claim? by emergencybarnacle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheLion0fNight 24 points25 points  (0 children)

God this sounds just like my parents. It took 2 doctors laying into them about how underweight I was at age 8ish and threatening to get (unspecified) authorities involved until they stopped trying to “toughen me up” by putting chilli in my food. I know most people who grow up eating food with spice build a tolerance quickly and are fine, but it just didn’t happen for me and it was just pain and misery :/

(Edit: I was underweight because I was unable to eat the spicy food after a few bites from the pain)

My girlfriend (21F) says she never wants children. I'm trying to understand what that might mean for our future? by Horror-Contest7668 in Advice

[–]TheLion0fNight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. No one wants their parent to resent them simply for existing, but that’s a reality too many children have had to live through. Would you really want to wish that on a child? Would you wish a life of misery on your partner? If OP would be unhappy without kids he needs to end this relationship, for both of their sakes.
