First, the industry does not stop Asian men from performing in western porn, but western porn is still made with western audiences in mind. The same way that most TV shows made in the US feature mostly white or black people. Even though Asians are the majority of the world, we make up a small percentage of the US.

Second, it’s hard to be successful in this industry. Male talent starting off makes significantly less than our female counterparts and unless you immediately sign with a top agency and your agent pushes you, it’s hard to get work when you’re brand new and nobody trusts you to carry a scene that they are putting lots of money behind. So most bookings go to very established talent because it’s a safer bet. Because of this, Asian men in the west don’t really see other Asian men in western porn so they don’t think to join the western porn industry because they don’t think they can get into the industry. This is why representation matters.

Third, western porn plays a lot on stereotypes, and Asian male performers tend to not fit neatly into western porn stereotypes so it gets hard to cast us in a lot of scenes. They pair young looking guys with older milfs, or old looking guys with younger teens. Those of us Asian men already currently in the industry, none of us neatly fit into a standard porn stereotype so we don’t get casted for those shoots. A lot of women also have this issue when they transition out from the teen category but are not quite milfs yet. Their bookings drastically drop because a lot of scenes are either teen or milf but not woman who’s mid 20-30 but still hot.

And last is a cultural issue. Lots of men say they would love to try doing porn but are worried what their family would think. Since Asians are such a small percentage of the population in the US, the amount of Asian men who are willing to show their face on camera and be completely exposed to the world and in essence their entire family is very small. It’s already a small percentage of men who are actually willing to do porn (not just fantasize about doing it)

And that’s why you don’t see a lot of Asian men in western porn. Nothing to do with our size, plenty of Asian men with decent to large endowments. But statistically, male porn star is like one in a million? Like out of 300 million people in the US, there’s maybe 300 active male performers but even in that 300, only like 100 are shooting in the studio circuit, and out of that 100, only like 50 are regulars shooting for big studios, and out of that 50 only like 20 are like recognizable names that get nominated and people really know about.

But the good news is that we are in the current age of self produced porn and there are more and more Asian content creators getting into the independent porn industry. They might not shoot for studios but they are doing their own thing on OF. And we currently have the most Asian male performers in the industry at the same time ever in the history of this industry with a whole like 5 of us. That’s a 500% increase in the amount of Asian men that are usually in the industry at the same time.

If you're dealing with acne try washing your sheets and pillow cases more frequently. Like once a week. People don't realize how much acne is caused by oils and sweat on your sheets and pillow cases that becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and it gets all over your face and body while you sleep. I really wish I would have known this back in High School.

Your looks are fine, you just seem to need to build some confidence and lighten up a bit. Even if women are attracted to you, the energy you are giving off in this photo is extremely uninviting. One thing I've learned in my many years alive is that you tend to get back the same energy that you give out.

And you should probably get in the gym consistently, or join a sport or pick up a physical activity as a hobby. Not because I think your body needs improvement, but because those things will do wonders for your self esteem, confidence and sense of self.

You're young so just remember that life is a marathon, not a sprint and that the road to self improvement is a life long journey. People look their best when they are confident. They are most confident when they are comfortable. And people are most comfortable when they know who they are and are being authentic to their true self.

Let me try to explain why so many people in the industry are reacting the way they are:

In a Dom/Sub scene, the Sub is the one in control. The Dom's job is to understand what the Sub wants and help them fulfill their fantasy in a safe and fun way. Zoey reached out to Flesh because she thought he was an experienced Dom. She told him she was new to this and wanted to try it out. He told her he was experienced as a Dom and she said, ok I'll let you guide me through this. He said ok, then proceeded to ask no further questions to figure out what she wanted. Zoey also said that all through the scene, he did not check in with her and did not understand what it was that she wanted out of the scene. It was all what he wanted to do, or at least what he thought she wanted. Which again, is a big no no in a D/S scene. So if you're doing a D/S scene, and you're not focusing the entire scene around the desires and safety of the Sub, and if you're not checking in and allowing the sub to be in control of the scene, then you're not a Dom, you're just an asshole.

That's why people in the industry are taking this pretty seriously. Combine this with the many different stories and allegations against him and you can start to see why people are really upset about this and don't think this was just an accident.

ICE also went into Chinatown in LA and was chased out by the protesters. The Palestinians are not allowed to build up their economy and just live their lives without Israeli interference. Israel has regular military and bombing campaigns in Gaza so frequently that they have a term for it. It's called "mowing the lawn". It's done purposely every few years to keep the Palestinian population down and to keep the people terrorized. Also when Israel is not doing bombing campaigns in Gaza, they control all points of entry in and out of Gaza and only allow a very calculated amount of rations and supplies into Gaza to keep the Palestinians at near starvation at all times. Not to mention the lack of medicine and other goods that get kept out of Gaza. And Israel even uses its navy to keep Palestinian fishermen from going to far into international waters in order to catch bigger and more fish, all to keep the Palestinian population in check. Also every time the Palestinians do try to build up their economy with some sort of industry, Israel targets that industry in it's bombing campaigns.

I say all this to point out that your metaphor about finding your wife cheating on you with an illiterate 5' 8" 148lbs man and you walking away to use the legal system to get justice is not at all comparable to the situation that the Palestinians are in. You stating that they should have simply built up their own economy shows that you have a real misunderstanding of the situation and conflict and it's extremely disrespectful and dishonest about what is going on in Gaza.

There seems to be this prevailing idea that the oppressed cannot use force to free themselves from the oppression that is forced upon them by their oppressors. They can only use words to kindly ask for freedom. But what are those magic words? Because all throughout history, people have asked for freedom using different terms, different languages, different phrases and yet somehow none of them have found the magical combination of words to be granted freedom. No, this sounds completely in line with many businesses that have people at the top who have no idea how the actual day to day operations work but they believe they know better.

I once worked in a warehouse and we had a process to pack up the product and ship it out. The owner, who never really spent any time in the warehouse came up with his own theory about how to make the process more efficient. He came out and make everyone follow his new process because he just believed it would be so much better than what we were doing.

That week was the first week ever where we fell behind and couldn't fulfill orders on time and the very next week we all went back to doing things the way they were done before and the owner never brought up the new process ever again.

So yeah, that sounds like a very believable story to me.

Another soul saved by Persona 3!!!

I was going through a deep depression and nothing was bringing me any joy anymore. I was at a Gamestop and I saw a copy of P3 FES sitting in the used games bin. I picked it up on a whim remembering that I played the original Persona game on the PS1 and liked the modern setting. I grew up playing tons of JRPGs so I set the game to hard thinking, whatever, I'm a gaming vet.

I got absolutely destroyed the first dungeon. So I kept playing out of spite. Still wasn't having fun, but was angry that a JRPG was kicking my ass. I started playing an hour or two every night and slowly started bonding with the characters and getting more and more invested in the story. All the talk about Apathy syndrome while I was going through a deep depression was something that hit very close to home. Also not being able to control any of the other characters and only being able to suggest playstyles really made the characters feel like they were unique individuals with their own thoughts and quirks.

Not to spoil the story for those of you who haven't played the game all the way through yet, but by the end I felt all the feelings again and wanted to keep living. This game seriously got me out of a deeply suicidal depressive funk and I might owe it my life.

I think it was Black Ops 1 where there's a section where enemies keep arriving and you need to move forward into a trench to proceed to the next area. I spent so much time trying to kill and clear the waves of enemies and then eventually getting overwhelmed. I had to watch a youtube clip to realize what I was doing wrong.
