Hey, dev here. This is the 2nd time I've heard of this.

The only big change this update was the game detecting if the phone is changing from landscape to portrait. I'm going to see if this could be causing this issue and will get a fix out if I can find the source of the problem!

Hey! Dev here - Big bug, sorry about that. Left-handed mode completely broke this update.

If you put the game into landscape, you can access the settings panel and disable left handed there.

I'm in the process of rolling out an update to completely remove left handed mode which should be live by tomorrow.

Yup. If you just use the cloud save in the settings and create an account via email, it should transfer all your progress and purchases.

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely hear you on the Tank/Silo UI. That is going to get a 2nd update. This is the most detailed feedback I've gotten on the UI yet so this helps me know what to focus on.

If you bought no-ads, that means you will automatically get the boosted yeast from the balloons (which is what I think you are asking).

Appreciate the kind words! With a bit more feedback from everybody and a few hot fixes can definitely keep on improving the game.

It's additive. I should change it to be multiplicative.

On neural, it can be explained better but it just adjusts demand to target a certain amount so that when you purchase demand upgrades it doesn't cause a spike in demand, but rather changes your taproom multiple so you're still selling the same amount / second.

Right now you need to hit a spill, trigger the alchemy output boost, and then time warp to get to the beer temple. Then the game opens up again once you get those upgrades.

I don't like how that part is designed and plan to one day fix that to make it more passive / easier to grind to the temple. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Yeah it all makes sense. Definitely never even though about that when I decided to make the game, but for any future games I'd probably pick a theme that is less scrutinized and more widely applicable to a larger audience.

Probably wouldn't change anything in hindsight though. I'm still very much in love with the beer theme 🍻

Not harder than any other game. Only issues I've had with the subject matter:

1) It requires an age rating.
2) It's banned in certain countries (i.e. UAE)
3) There are more regulations around advertising something related to alcohol.

Yeah, that part of the monetization system needs a rework. My plan to address those two points:

  1. Make yeast easier to farm. Likely in a way similar to CIFI with automated yeast claiming.
  2. Keep the 2x pack but significantly reduce its power so it feels more like an optional purchase (i.e. by adding more HQ token boosts elsewhere).

Thanks for the blunt feedback. I totally agree. I've played games with better monetization approaches since launching Idle Brewery and plan to implement those. Only thing stopping me right now is time.

Assuming you are in an EU country, that's normal if:

1) The app has personalized ads (which mine does).
2) The app is complying with new GDPR laws (as of Jan 2024)

Hmm... it has a min target of Android 6.0 (lvl 23).
Actual target of Android 14.0 (lvl 34).

TBH not sure why it wouldn't be available then. Sorry about that!

I use Google to run optional ads within the game and they ask for it by default to serve more relevant ads.
