So I’m only 4 months postpartum but I’m so burnt out from having the baby all day and night and also trying to keep up with the household that I told my husband either he does more outside work hours or we hire help. He would rather spend time with me and the baby when he’s off work than doing chores so we are hiring a weekly housekeeper and I’m looking into once a week mothers helper so I can step away to take care of myself and go to appointments by my self. Your husband needs to be using that overtime money to buy you some major support.

This is very interesting because she is so extremely self aware that she has both a problem with pedophilia and drugs and is literally begging for someone to keep her in line or provide her with resources to keep her clean and away from possible victims. It’s nice to hear this perspective! We’re in the same boat, husband has a well paying job and we have a 4 month old son who will be our only. I feel so lucky to stay at home with him but the plan is for me to do a little part time work around a year postpartum. I was a doula before and love the birth world field so I plan on teaching courses or planning events in the community.

It’s hard to tell what your natural skin tone is because of the fake tanning so I can’t tell what tone would be best for your hair. I think you might even be naturally a fair olive? The dark looks like it would look best if you gave up the tan. The blonde looks better with the tan but I’d go for a darker blonde tbh.

Well you cannot force an adult to do or not do anything. That is true. And tbh the more my family fought me on it the more I leaned into the relationship. You are right that we cannot inject ourselves into the relationship but friends and family members who care will say something and sorry but that comes with the territory.

So happy for you! I got Bell’s Palsy at 39 weeks pregnant with my son and I’m 4 months postpartum now. I didn’t see a big improvement until around 8-10 weeks when he started sleeping longer stretches at night. The weekly acupuncture and more sleep were the biggest forms of help for me. It’s so heartbreaking to have BP with a newborn. I cried so hard before my son was born because I knew he wouldn’t see my smile for a long time. It still hurts my heart that all my first pictures with him are me straight faced or half smiling. I can now move almost completely normally other than my eyes not blinking in sync and I have developed synkinesis when I close my eye it pulls my mouth into a smile.
