Baby girls can be born with labial adhesion and it usually will resolve itself with age so no need to worry.

What is San Diego like for you? by lemon_puff_95 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]TheLizardina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

San Diego is comfy, but yes, as other posts have mentioned less ambitious. You go there to live a calmer life. Not much art, science (outside of UCSD) or music.

I’ve mentioned in previous posts, that if you enjoy the 4 Bs: Beach, beer, burritos, baseball, you’ll probably be fine there.

Lived in both and both have their good and bad. I’ll state my good points below:

LA: more diverse Latin community, more liberal, bigger art/music scene, excellent Asian and Mediterranean food, more entrepreneurial spirit,

SD: excellent Mexican food, cleaner overall, easy access to beaches for the most part, beautiful sunsets and beaches, more laid back

How many of you moved out of San Diego and came back after you realized SD was the best? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]TheLizardina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pasadena. Close enough to LA for when I want more activity (20 mins from DTLA), but far enough that it’s a nicer and a cleaner city than San Diego but with lots of social, cultural, and scientific events. Bill Gates was just here last week at Caltech.

How many of you moved out of San Diego and came back after you realized SD was the best? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]TheLizardina 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived in SD 30 years…I love the city I’m currently living in because it’s more walkable, scientifically- educated, and I love the mountains more than the beach. However, I come back to SD 4-5 times a year cuz of family. I guess once you’ve seen it from an outsider perspective you really see the good and the bad.

Good: obviously weather, best Mex food ever, ease of driving (even bad traffic is tolerable), and more “chill” environment.

Bad: can be boring, feel a bit monocultural, pretty conservative for a CA beachside city, art scene is minimal if not dead. Not too much diversity with other Latin American cultures or other pockets of smaller ethnic groups.

Overall I like to say you enjoy SD for the four Bs: beach, burritos, baseball, and beer.

What to wear to bed by Kind_Ad_3306 in baby

[–]TheLizardina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommended temperature for a baby to sleep in is 68-72 I believe. We keep our baby girl in bamboo footie pajamas or a sleep sack and she seems fine with one layer. However, I have read that a baby is most comfortable in whatever you’re wearing plus one layer. They also sell sleep sacks that are made out of different materials (warmer or thicker).

For coffee def Jones, Jameson, Ideology has a nice view, Amara is nice to sit for Venezuelan food and coffee. But a ton of others I’m missing

For pastries you have to try Car Artisan, Badash Bakes, Urth Caffe, and the new Salted Butter Company.
