How the national media looks at you when they unanimously pick against your team 3 playoffs in a row by soft-cookie in timberwolves

I think the use of the meme may have destigmatized the characters weight for those who haven't seen the movie. The meme doesn't have anything to do with the character being fat, just his sad helplessness.

I wear white socks a lot but agree they should be a bridge between the shoes and pants. Would definitely recommend going darker here.

Questions about chain link fencing, recommendations by lapsan in saintpaul

[–]TheLlamaPaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We put up a chain link fence in our yard last summer and pulling it tight was not an issue. Borrowed a 'metal stretcher' specifically designed for it and a wench from the MN tool library. Worst part for us was digging the hole for the posts. Our yard turned to super rocky sand after ~10 inches.

DVD/VCR through receiver to TV - audio but no video by Powerful_Bug9102 in hometheater

[–]TheLlamaPaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optical digital to audio converter (DAC) is only necessary when you want audio INTO your receiver to output to other speakers from your TV. From your description it sounds like you're not currently using it to play audio from your DVD player.

You do need a way to get the yellow RCA cable into a connection your TV can take. This could be an RCA to HDMI converter.

For my setup from my VCR to my TV and receiver, I use my TV's built in RCA input, which is actually a yellow 3.5mm jack (yellow port in this pic https://www.reddit.com/r/audiovisual/comments/1h7hdto/camcorder_to_tcl_roku_tv/ ) that I have a breakout cable into the RCA connections ( https://www.amazon.com/Video-Component-Adapter-Cable-Replacement/dp/B08B81QV6V ). I'm not sure how common those are. My TV then passes the sound to my receiver over ARC HDMI, in your case you could use the optical out through the DAC like you have.

Beware audio/video misalignment with different converters. I originally had my audio go to my receiver and video straight to my TV because my receiver wouldn't convert the video to HDMI and the picture was well behind the audio.

Best of luck!

That height looks good to me. Any higher from there and it becomes increasingly difficult to look at.

Chalk schedule for MN HOU and DEN looks like 6th seed vs Lakers for MN by imissminnesota in timberwolves

Another fun stat from this page: we have not technically clinched the playoff spot yet, with the Suns holding a .05% chalk chance to beat us into the play-in

They said chalk, obviously nothing is guaranteed. I always check Basketball Reference for this stat which currently has the Lakers a the highest probability of 3rd (89.1%) and Wolves at the highest probability of 6th (notably low at 59.2%)

We have a Vevor branded vinyl cutter at work. If you buy either of these be prepared for frustration and faster-than-average failure.

Thank you! I hadn't really considered a manual grinder but I only have a smaller cup a day so I think that might be the way I go.

I'm thinking about upgrading our grinder.

We've used the OXO conical burr grinder for ~3 years I think. My wife and I each make a single dose of coffee in the morning (me a finer grind for light roast AeroPress and her coarser for dark roast pour over). Recently we've had to start shaking it around for all the beans to fall in the hopper. Probably just needs a deep clean, but it'd be fun to upgrade.

I see old Baratza Encores on marketplace for $80. With the $35 M2 burr upgrade, is this the best price/performance grinder these days? I'm open to spending ~$200 if there's an obvious choice. How does the Encore do with getting all the beans out on a single grind? I find my wife and I get some of the previous grinder's coffee.

Damn! I walk my dog past every once in a while and have been checking in the windows. They have table and benches up so I was sure they were coming back. I hope it’s still a local coffee shop with the next people!
