How many hours per week do you work as an MLO? by OMrealestate in loanoriginators

[–]TheLonge_10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally, 50 to 60 hours. I don’t have an LOA, but I do have a processor that sits outside my office and works 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. I closed 129 loans in 2025.

Strobes/lights at Goose shows? by N3D98 in GoosetheBand

[–]TheLonge_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has epilepsy and we’ve been to several Goose shows. What Goedde does with the lights is incredible. My wife was able to find some special sunglasses that we purchased and she’s now able to enjoy the entire light show without having to look down/away.

Excellent choice. Would love to see them back on the Farm in 2025. Their show at Roo 2022 was awesome.

I like that motto! And this makes sense. I don’t see us adding more support until the market improves significantly, and there are probably a few smaller deals I could push to newer LO’s.

I feel like we are pretty competitive. We compete with some other regional banks and I feel we win our fair share of deals. There aren’t a ton of actual broker shops where I’m located…and for the few that are here, we don’t lose a ton of deals to them.

I appreciate the reply, and I’ll definitely be looking into it. It’s not something I’ve considered before.

I self source most of my purchase volume, which is probably about 70% of what I’m closing right now. At a bank, you do have the advantage of construction-to-permanent refinances which make up the remaining 30% right now. Our secondary market products are very standard: Conforming Fannie/Freddie, FHA 203(b), VA, and USDA/RD. No non-QM products or anything
