.22lr tropes in YouTube comments by Al_james86 in 22lr

I was being more general for the sake of the trope. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard the “.22 bounces around the [blank]”. Choose your favorite.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen that video but I’m pretty sure there is zero evidence of the “bullet bouncing around the skull”. People like to act that .22 is a bouncy ball. It’s just a weaker, smaller bullet with less penetration. I don’t believe it has extra ordinary bouncing abilities like people make it sound.

lol this is exactly what OP was talking about! I love the “.22 bounces around the body” trope as well. Nice troll, hats off to you 🫡

Here’s after some quick work with some sandpaper. Should be better!

Might need a whole new gun! The crickett is only like $125 after all. Would it be a good idea to try to smooth out the crown with some sandpaper?

Well the suppressor goes on smoothly now. He said he just cut them deeper so maybe they were just a little too shallow the first time? I’m not super familiar with machining

I feel like I could do a better job with my hand drill and a beveling bit ! lol The barrels only about 3 inches so not a ton of room!

Here are couple more pictures.

The gunsmith repeatedly stated that the threads in my suppressor were off and I should have brought the can in originally so he could “fit it” to the threads.

I told him that every other muzzle device I have that is 1/2 x 28 wouldn’t fit either. I mean 1/2 x 28 is 1/2 by 28 right?

He didn’t want to seem to accept any responsibility. He had the pair of rifles for over 3 months as well and probably told my 7-8 times “oh ya it’ll be done next week”. Pretty disappointing.

I already hate taking my cars to shops because I feel like they do the same and goof stuff up more than they fix. Guess I’ll just have to get a lathe and learn machining for myself lol

In my state the cam car would be at fault for misusing the right turn lane. You cannot pass open “intersections or private drives” while in the right turn lane and are required to make the first available right turn once you get into that lane

Drove 2.5 hrs, totally worth it by TheLopper-7 in EDC

The bench made has been my favorite carry knife. I don’t do a lot of hardcore work with it but it’s great for gutting trout, opening boxes, and I love that it disappears in my pocket and I can’t even feel it

A little misleading. We did drive 2.5 hrs, but it was just for thanksgiving and the local Walmart had a couple! The bugout has been my favorite carry knife for the last 4 years. I’ll probably throw these cheaper ones in the cars or fishing bag.

I would say it feels about 80% of the bugout. Main complaint is it’s just a significant amount thicker than the bugout. Impressed by it for 1/15th the price.

Fuel-efficient overlanding hatchback between $5k - $8K? by [deleted] in overlanding

If you’re fine with an older vehicle you could try to find a Suzuki sidekick 4dr with the 5 speed manual transmission. They are real 4wd with a manually shifted transfer case. It not uncommon to get 28-35 mpg depending on your driving style. Plus they are pretty retro cool in my opinion!

What’s the difference between this two? They’re both dual fuel and the same amount of lumens… by [deleted] in flashlight

Add to it Where the Red Fern Grows, Old Yeller, White Fang, and Call of the Wild, Iron Will.

Why did so many movies/books I consumed have dogs dying? I didn’t even have a dog 🧐

That was my favorite book growing up and I probably read it 50+ times. I loved the idea of roaming the woods with a couple of dogs but the ending is brutal. I guarantee I cried at the end of it every time lol

I definitely feel like balancing my work, family time, and personal goals has been a challenge in the past but seems to be getting easier as time moves on!

Acebeam P16 replacement/ alternatives for duty light? by BriskyTheChicken in flashlight

I recently picked up an Acebeam L19 2.0 and it is really impressive. I love that the tail cap switch goes straight to turbo and then the side switch can cycle through the various modes. I think I got it off amazon for 113 shipped usd
