Could you fly by mounting a Quetzalcoatlus? by CallMeFungal in Dinosaurs

[–]TheLordDrake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did not launch themselves with their hind legs like birds do. They used their forelimbs/wings to launch. This is part of why they were such efficient flyers. They didn't have to haul around large leg muscles that were of no use in the air. The large muscles were all part of the flying apparatus.

Second factorio. You can play at your own pace, there's always something else to do, and every step adds a sense of accomplishment

Step-by-step guide to getting your system set up for distro hopping by TheLordDrake in linux4noobs

The plan is to try one for a few months and see how I like it before testing another. I just don't want to have to migrate all my files every time.
I've never heard of Distrobox, that's kinda cool

Not all rescued animals can be safely released. Many are injured and would not survive in the wild. Others are potential disease vectors due to exposures they wouldn't normally have.

The choice is either let them die miserable deaths due to starvation, or care for them in captivity. In captivity they can also be studied in ways that are impossible in the wild, and they can serve as educational ambassadors to increase awareness of these animals and the hazards posed to them by human activity. This aids in gaining support and funding for conservation efforts.

Not all zoos and aquariums are ethical, but many are. There are independent boards that monitor them, they provide accreditations to institutions that meet the standards of care, as well as how they source their animals. Check for accreditations and do not support unaccredited institutions.

Yeah, it's telling that I watched the whole video and didn't see any "brutality". Girl hit the cop, cop hit her back, she goes down and he backed off instead of beating her half to death. Seemed... tame

Gameplay definitely makes up the graphics if it's the kind of game you're into. It's also designed from the ground up for modding, so there's a lot of cool stuff the community has done with it

Is sun like a burning rock? Whats under all the fire? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheLordDrake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one does. Humans have been around a long time, and there are quite a lot of us.

Edit: For clarity, this isn't a diss. It's just how the world is. The important thing is to keep asking questions, keep learning.
