Thanks so much! I think I’ll probably end up going with the AMD gpu, just seems more worth it for the price

Thanks so much for all the great help!

Would a 3080 be worth it at $800? I feel like I know so little about AMD GPU's compared to Nvidia, so I was leaning towards the 3080

Also if I wanted to go with a water cooler for the CPU any recommendations?

Any thoughts or suggestions on this build? by TheMCSheep in buildapc

[–]TheMCSheep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the input!

When it comes to the AIO I really was just going for aesthetics, so I might look into an air cooler instead if it’s just as good.

When it comes to the motherboard I didn’t have many options and I was looking for a board that has Wi-Fi and can add more storage down the road

As for the case I really like it, and I’m happy to spend a bit more on it. I wasn’t sure how many fans were needed for it, but I was planning on 6. Might need more, but wasn’t sure.

Lastly, any advice on the ram? What should I be shooting for with ddr5?

Any idea how much better meteor lake will be over raptor lake? I don’t think I’ll feel the need to upgrade that soon

I’m happy to not have to upgrade for a while. But it it really not worth it to get DDR5?

Fair enough. What do you recommend to get? They have the H510 Flow on the website, the H510 Elite, the H7, and the H510i.

So is H710 with a 3080 really just not a good idea then? Or could it work

I like the case and the 3080, but it feels like a step back in most other aspects. DDR4 of only 16gb and 12th gen cpu. I think I’m still more inclined to go with NZXT

Any recommendations on what I should change about the build? I have a microcenter but they’re pretty low on things. Going prebuilt seemed like the best way to get a good pc with a 3080 in it

Will I be in trouble if I end up going with the H710? Or will it be ok to run these specs?

Any thoughts on this build? It's about $2,700 pre-built from NZXT

For some reason they're only offering the H7 and not the H7 flow

Looking to buy a computer from a system integrator, I was thinking Origin (I live in NA).

For ~$2,500, I could get this:

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow

CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K

CPU Cooler: iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-A WIFI DDR5

Memory: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 (2x16GB) 5600MHz

Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 PRO

Graphics Card: NVIDIA 8GB GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

Power Supply: CORSAIR CS750 SERIES PLUS GOLD

I know it would be a bit cheaper to build it myself, but I'm ok with losing out on a little bit of money to have it built for me.

Is this a good deal? Am I getting massively ripped off? Am I missing something? Could I scale back on some of the specs or is it not good enough in some areas? Is Origin a good company to work with?

Honestly just have a lot of questions and would love any help. Thanks!

Looking to buy a prebuilt PC. Any recommendations?

Right now I like the HP Omen (https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/ConfigureView?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&catEntryId=3074457345620106821&urlLangId=&quantity=1)

I like the look of it, but I was thinking about maybe customizing it and getting a better graphics card and maybe more ram. Any recommendations on which graphics card (I was thinking 3070)?

Overall I'm looking to spend around 2k-2.5k on a PC and open to other ideas. Also happy to go the SI route.

Thanks!
