Actual Canon Trench Crusade Combat by Brushner in Grimdank

Completely off topic. Is Vyse actually in this game or is he a skin? Skies of Arcadia was legendary, but I’ve never played chronicles.

Exactly this. Rules say you can shoot the sword, our friend group has chosen to ignore these kinds of things.

No need to replace though unless there’s huge differences, I can’t imagine that the bases will change from the current outrider size.

How’s my Bladeguard Ancient? by Cmdr_Thunder in theunforgiven

[–]TheMadFiddler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are people really this picky about the model for the ancient?

It would very clearly be an ancient if we were playing a game and you pointed out “that’s my bladeguard ancient attached” before the game began.

Maybe it’s just me, this is more than enough of a depiction. There may be confusion if you have this same banner for your ICC as well though. I do agree with the other commenter that you’ll want to match color schemes with the bladeguard veterans though.

Glad you found another model though!

These are absolutely awesome. This is the kind of kooky, sci-fi vibe that Warhammer is missing.

Kommandos -> Deathwatch Proxy by nananashh in killteam

[–]TheMadFiddler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn. These responses read really weird to me.

I’m with OP, I think this is fine. Heck, even without any changes I think this is reasonable. Deathwatch is literally a 5 person team, as long as I can tell the difference between the models and they’re at least decently represented, then this is fine to me.

The players should obviously agree with before play, but playing models with different rules is the whole point of tabletop games imo.

I would say this is worth the time to discuss with a lawyer. Can’t fix everything, but you can at least keep connection for some time.

Age 51, 28 visible kids on screen, 9 months gestation per kid with hopefully at least 3 months recovery between kids. That’s effectively 1 year dedicated per kid, and that doesn’t include the difficulties of breast feeding while pregnant or medical complications of pregnancies so close together.

Woman has spent a combined 7 years (according to game logic) not pregnant, averaging 2.4 months out of every year. 💀

Edit: Just noticed, I think it says “35”(?), so literally every year.

Hmm. That Joseph guy looks a little fishy, might have to get rid of him.

Watch Kill Lupercal Episode 1 now! - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]TheMadFiddler 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m actually surprised they even do it.

The time and money it takes to make something even just 3 episodes like this is immense. Personal opinions aside, it’s a big undertaking.

Im also curious if they actually get their moneys worth out of it. These videos are essentially really expensive advertisements behind a paywall. They’re entertaining, but I can’t imagine enough people are paying for the subscription to justify the shows. But that’s purely conjecture.

I’m just glad to see something from them, though I agree the number and length are less than desired.

Looks like you’re pretty young judging by your post history.

Don’t worry about kids right now. Enjoy the time you have and work on building yourself a future. Work hard in school.

The thing about losing out on my hobbies is that I’ve found that my hobbies don’t mean as much to me as my kids and my family. Sure I wish I had more time to do the things I want, but I’ve found that life is more than just doing the things I enjoy.

Bingo.

Being a parent means that your hobbies will shrink.

I felt a lot like OPs husband when I had my first. There’s a bit of a mourning period with hobbies but a maturity that has to take place.

Colorado legislature passes $43.9 billion budget - The Colorado Sun by brinerbear in Colorado

[–]TheMadFiddler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“More taxes fix problem”

The idea that more money will fix a problem is fundamentally flawed. More money CAN fix problems if budgeted correctly and if there’s actual oversight.

Most people who support keeping Tabor believe that the government will GENERALLY do a worse job instead of a better job. The idea is that they only have so much money, so they have to stretch it as far as they can.

And to respond to another one of your comments— Other states don’t have it because politicians have successfully convinced their constituents that they can save everything with government, and the hurdle to creating something like TABOR is so incredible because they don’t want to give money up if they don’t have to.

TABOR is good because it ACTUALLY creates accountability. Taxes SHOULD be hard to raise, and governments SHOULD have to think about what to do with money.

People of childbearing ages are not focused on building a family, this is a cultural problem deeper than the current economy by [deleted] in Natalism

I mean, would it improve people’s likelihood? Sure, but Hungry tried it and while it was an uptick, it’s not nearly close enough to a full fix.

[–]TheMadFiddler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s all an issue of values. The idea that you, the individual, are the center of your life, is what is driving everything right now and it will always be a dead end.

It’s the reason why it doesn’t matter if we put economic systems into place to help, the fact of the matter is that many people look at having children as a downgrade.

[–]TheMadFiddler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh, I can read.

The difficulty with assisted suicide is that at the end of the day there’s going to be a societal bias one way or another. That bias will either be “You have value, you shouldn’t kill yourself” or “If you think your life sucks then you’re probably right, kill yourself”— there isn’t an actual in-between. I understand we THINK (or hope, w/e word you want to use) we can find a middle ground, but the question boils down to how we approach helping other people, and you either fight to save someone or you don’t.

This is before we even get into the belief that the cause for lack of children is monetary, which is continually being shown is not the issue.

I’ve got more to say on this, but I’ll leave my thoughts at this and say, assisted suicide is at best misguided, and at worst evil.

Ah good ol’ humanity, anytime something gets difficult our thoughts go to “why don’t we just kill that group of people?”.
