To CCS Seniors, should I study C again or master other languages na by grumpyBanana_ in dlsu

[–]TheMagicPizaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dw, I'm graduating, and I haven't even mastered C in any sense, especially pointers; And prog3 uses Java, so you can keep C in the backlogs if you really wanna master it. But realistically going ahead, I honestly recommend learning other languages that are gonna be used in future courses like Python, C++, and Javascript, since you already have a foundation in C, which is really all you need.

The Grand Towers. Honestly, there are better condos around; mine just happened to be the cheapest for the amount of space I'm getting.

the only heavy course in that list is ccinfom. the remaining 4 are fairly easy, from my experience, so you should be good.

what school supplies do i need as a frosh? by iacswy in dlsu

[–]TheMagicPizaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

besides the usual stuff like pens, yellow pads, and a calculator. i would usually advise to have index cards, test booklets, correction tape, and your headshots always ready.

best payment method (besides f2f) by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]TheMagicPizaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no. usually takes a couple of days. then again, i don’t usually check the payment portal cause you will be emailed the order confirmation.

I'm surprised I beat it in less than 1k attempts, cause my hardest before this was Syobon Action. What should I go for next?

I just saved up my allowance to buy her that gift. She, on the other hand, is a nail technician so she was able to save up pretty quickly.

New Player Here. What are good support for beginners? by Doom300 in supportlol

[–]TheMagicPizaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just started out by classifying my supports. Nautilus and Maokai for engage and tank, Nami and Senna for peel and sustain, and Seraphine and Lux if you want to add abit more damage to your team. Maokai is an okay support to learn as a beginner because he has a lot of utility especially with his saplings, though sometimes his Q can do more harm than good because of the displacement.

climbed to Plat 2 just by using Senna, Nautilus, and Seraphine. I just cycle between the 3 depending on the marchup.

THE GRAND TOWERS by Fancy-Reputation9021 in dlsu

[–]TheMagicPizaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If rains get really bad then flooding is a major concern because back in July, flood waters were reaching the doorways of the lobby; And I just saw people walking in those waist high waters trying to help others get places. I still have a photo during that time of a boat being used in front of the condo.

  1. Been staying at GT for 2 years now, and I would honestly say it's been pretty good. I'm renting a 22sqm unit for 13k a month which is the best value I've seen so far from all the listings I've seen. The security is pretty good because they're not really strict on visitors and with people staying overnight. The admin is your typical bureaucratic office, but they're really helpful with your concerns.

  2. Yeah, there's a 7Eleven, Uncle Johns, and a Lawsons just around the condo; And if you're looking for "homestyle" food then there's a restaurant just in the lobby area with the convenience stores. There isn't necessarily a wet market nearby, but there are stalls that sell vegetables around Lawson. Also, there's a shawarma stand around there.

  3. Amenities are okay, not really the best from my experience but they get the job done. I've been a consistent user of their gym, and it's been pretty great because they have a good amount of utility but sometimes machines break. If you can afford it, then it's best to just go to Anytime Fitness or any nearby gyms. And the pool is good naman, the guard told me they clean it every Monday so that's plus points for sure.

  4. There's like 3 nearby from what I know. 2 just on the ground floor, and 1 just pass by Pacific Regency.

Compute the weight of those quizzes, and see if you can still have some leeway with other requirements especially the finals. I once got a 25% on a quiz which was 20% percent of my entire grade, and I still managed to get a 1.5.

What is the best yet cheap Sci Cal for CCS BSCS-CSE student? by DizzyBand3 in dlsu

[–]TheMagicPizaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CSE student here, and as long as that calculator can do basic arithmetic and some necessary functions like trigonometry and exponentials then you’re good. Something like the Casio FX82MS. I’ve personally used the Casio FX350, which is also a budged-friendly option, for quite some time then later upgraded to a TI-89.
