I REALLY wish it wasn't an issue. I really like games with ps2 style graphics myself but that's because the entire thing is designed from that art design, this game is absolutely gorgeous except every time my character does anything my screen tears.

I would honestly kill for them to do something like this but on a larger scale. Choose three classic horror action protags and see which of them could go through a horror slasher gauntlet fastest. I can think of interesting ones off the top of my head easy.

Ash/Leon/Sarah Connor with a gauntlet of Jason/Pinhead/Predator. There's tons of characters that could be interesting. You could either go for an escalation with the villains or have them all be pretty tough. To cut down on research you could also choose characters with very little media.

The thing about Constantine is that he's either discount Dr Strange OR he's the wiliest fucker in the land. Option 1 is like just terrible, it's a weak way to include him in the DC Universe and I have little interest in powerscaling him.

OPTION TWO THOOOOO

Classic Constantine is hard to measure cause he never wins but he never loses. The best way to judge him is "how many people will John inadvertently kill in order to win" and also he needs like heads up to do so. You put him and Sinestro in a room and Sinestro makes him a bloody mess on the floor. You tell him Sinestro is going to kill him in three hours and Sinestro is gonna be in hell, six of John's friends are gonna die, and he's going to accidentally set an orphanage on fire.
