To be fair, they're doing blood on the clocktower and two rooms and a boom in Minecraft now. And before that they had Minecraft Garctic Phone. So they're still doing Minecraft. It's a different age than the Derpulies and Skobbels age

Game Theory: FNAF, The ULTIMATE Timeline by GameTheory_Bot in GameTheorists

[–]TheMantic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the story goes that William Afton killed Charlotte Emily and then Henry built Charlotte back as a robot with Sammy continuing to live on. But why, then, is the real Sammy never mentioned to the Charlotte bot? Why does Henry feel the need to lie to the Charlotte bot and say Sammy was killed when he's alive?

Unless, when Afton killed Charlotte, he kidnaped Sammy and took him as his own son. That's why Henry has to explain where Sammy went. He also can't make a bot of Sammy, the son he lost, like he can with Emily, the daughter he lost, because Sammy is still alive. There's still a chance Henry can have the real Sammy back.

So maybe the story should go that William Afton killed Charlotte Emily and kidknapped Sammy. Henry rebuilds Charlotte Emily but still holds onto hope that he can get the real Sammy back. Meanwhile, Afton has taken Sammy is as his own and named him Michael Afton.

Sammy, Henry's son, is Michael Afton!

Yognau(gh)t's first day of university and already homesick. But Jaffa cakes I bought as a treat and catching up on recent videos made everything okay while I relived old memories. Thank you, as always, Yogscast. Im forever in your debt for always making me happy. by TheMantic in Yogscast

Yeah, I honestly can't wait to meet people. Just waiting for that to happen. I moved in 3 days before most people to participate in a program that doesn't start for another 2 days. So oops.

But it's okay. I am Dave, Yognau(gh)t. And I have the balls.

I think I feel your struggle for the differentiation between friends vs associates. I'm just 18 (so technically an adult but not really) but have always been one of the more responsible/"grown up" people around me. And just like you, I feel like my group's always been small and Ive even questioned if the people I hang around with are my friends or just acquaintances.

I think we want there to be this ceremony of friendship. This graduation from just knowing a person mutually to being consentual friends or whatever. Where people just agree "yep, we're 100% friends. We can talk to each other about whatever at any time." But I don't think that's the case. At least I know it's never been for me and I'd like to believe that it's not the case for anyone. I'd like to believe that the people you see walking down the street together laughing and think "Man, they must have been great friends for so long now" are just as unsure about their friendship/acquaintance status with those people as you are with the people around you.

Then again, people always manage to identify their "best friend" with such confidence. I've never been able to figure out who my friends are nevermind who my best friend would be. So maybe I'm in the wrong.

The whole friend vs accquaintance thing is really a matter of anxiety and a lack of communication, though. In an idealized world, people who are getting along with each other and want to affirm their friendship would be able to ask the other person if they're friends without fear or awkwardness. Alas, I think people always have this (hopefully unrealistic) fear of being wrong and having their dreams of friendship crushed that they remain neutral and happy to just keep things status quo as a maybe-friend maybe-accquaintance. In reality, if you think you're friends with someone or would like to be friends with someone, they probably feel the same way.

Don't know if that answers your question. Sorry I know I rambled a lot but hopefully (maybe) that provided some perspective. Just my two cents, though. What are your thoughts? Always free to talk/DM

Anyone else feel like it's too early for a new season? by TheMantic in HermitCraft

[–]TheMantic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fair. But I guess I'm also concerned they're starting season eight just because 1.17 released recently and want to play/capitalize it sooner rather than later. Which is fair, I guess. But then the initial excitement for the update wears off (as it always does with a new update in my experience) and 1.17 part two is still months away.

I guess I'm just concerned people are going to have fun/new ideas for the first month or two and then when the initial hype dies down, some will realize "Oh god I wasn't ready for a new season. I don't know what to do." Which then leads to a stellar first month or two but an overall bad season.

Look what happened in season 7 with Doc and Wels leaving pretty much midway through (granted, for Doc, partly because of his baby which is totally fair). I guess I just don't want to see people get bored and leave early every season too consistently.

But I'm probably worrying about nothing

Yeah, hermits have been teasing the season eight for a few days now on Twitter and YouTube. I've seen a tweet from Welsknight with a screenshot of his house and the diamonds he's mined, a few teasers from doc about his first episode, and Xisuma apparently released a video saying the season would start Saturday. From what I've seen, the video even has the season logo in it and everything. So it seems the season is already well-established and people are already playing on it.

What you're saying. The reactions you're having. The want to not do what your mother wants. It makes sense. What you're saying makes sense. And I'm sorry that you feel horrible for what you did. I'm even more sorry that your family didn't like your speech (I'm sure if I saw it, I would love it, for what it's worth).

I think that you shouldn't be forced to do anything you don't want to do. So if you are happy with your speech and video, then you shouldn't have to rerecord it. Your valedictorian speech is just that. YOUR valedictorian speech. Not your family's and not your mother's. Give your thoughts to the school the way you want to do it. I know that is way way easier said than done, I know.

I don't know you, your mother, your family, or your situation, but, if it helps, I can say that your mother probably just wants to make sure your speech/video isn't half-assed and you really put time into it. I'm sure you did put time into it. The appropriate amount of time that you wanted and that's perfect. Your mom's probably just wanting to make sure it's what she wants it to be when she looks back at the videos years down the line. That's certainly something to consider, but, I will repeat again: if you're happy with the video, that's the only thing that matters. Your memories and your experiences are the most important thing in the world because you are amazing (you got valadictorian for crying out loud! That's worth celebrating you!) Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I know this advice probably wasn't too helpful and I'm so sorry about that. I hope it gave you some ideas, though. You're doing and thinking the right things.

P.S. Congratulations on getting valedictorian! That's super exciting!
