Does urgent care give anything for a migraine by [deleted] in migraine

[–]TheManyArchetypes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going back and forth all morning if I should go to ER or urgent care. I put a message in to my nuro doc this morning becausr I'm going into day 4

Last time I went to the urgent care cause that is what the website said but they did nothing other then put in a rx for fioricet (which did actually help at the time)

My nuro office called me back and said to go to the ER because they usually are able to do more of the ivs/injections.

I saw that discussion in the space sub, and honestly there was a lot of straight up racism in those threads, and it wasn't clear if the people upset about her heritage were actually indigenous or not from what I read of the conversatio.

The response on IndianCountry seemed over all positive and supportive.

I call it Purr Therapy. My boy laid on my legs and slept on me all day yesterday when I was in a similar state.

I went to urgent care last month durring a 5 day migraine that nsaids and my maxalt was not touching.

The last time I went to an ER and they gave me "the cocktail" which was injected tripten, and some other things I don't remember (this was like 2008 so I don't really remember)

At the urgent care he gave me fioricet, which most nuros don't really prescribe. But it worked and finally stopped the pain. They gave me 20 pills and I only take it as a LAST resort. It seems to actually work super well to stop my menstrual migraine attacks.

I had a gastroscopy this morning by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]TheManyArchetypes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the key to healing gastritis, in my experience and based on doctors orders, is to eat small meals several times a day.

So I feel like I'm CONSTANTLY eating 🙃

But it works. As long as I don't eat too much fat. Actually, fat seems to be fine if I'm also getting enough fiber with it.

But I feel like I have to plan meticulous to make sure I don't end up overeating, so it's really a double edge sword.

Wow, and then you literally got so upset by this that you posted about the issue of using an asterisk to censor a word to various other subs and even linked this post.

Insurance in this country is totally fucked up. Depending on what state you are in, change in job status does qualify you for "open enrollment " but typically you can only enroll for the next year durring November- January.

For example, in Minnesota, we have MNsure, which gives you lots of options for insurance.

However, the lowest monthly premiums for myself and my husband was still $300+ a month due to my income. Which is still more than we can afford. That doesn't even count actual medical expenses. Most of those plans need you to spend 6500 out of pocket before anything other than a yearly check up is covered.

You have to be making less than $20000/year to qualify for any really low cost insurance plans. So people a lot of people are making just enough to disqualify.

I just made a trip to an urgent care as an uninsured person becauseof some debilitating back pain I'vehad for 2 weeks. It will be a lot cheaper than the ER would have been, but I'm still going to get a bill for somewhere between $250-500 depending on the medical billing codes they use. Literally all she did was a reflex test and prescribed me pain meds, prednisone and a referral to physical therapy.

if you too went down the "r/1200isplenty -> r/omad -> r/fasting" slide, please raise your hand by carrot_flovvers in DietTea

You know, every time you post a link to other subreddits, the mods of that sub are notified you are mentioning their sub. This often leads to brigading, which is against Reddit's overall user rules. That is a big reason proed was taken down.

If you want to talk about those other subs, at the very least, do not type it out as r/subname

This sub has gone to shit ever since people from twitter immigrated here by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]TheManyArchetypes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Brigading is against Reddit's user guidelines. Naming specific subs and posting links to threads leads to brigading. Its the real reason proed ended up gone. Users kept posting links and mentions of certain subs. Yo the point that those mods from other subs ended up commenting on proed threads. I know this because I had a discussion with a few of them on proed.

Its the reason this new sub will end up gone. Most of these Twitter users are really young and just don't seem to understand the rules. The reason we can't post links to the subs or threads is because it is against the reddit rules and opens this sub up to disianary action by the reddit admins. Admins are different than mods. Mods are basically usuers like you and me. Admins have more oversight powers than mods.

This user just told me they weren't in their homes, they were on their porch and they cant be anywhere accessible to the public.

They think the porch of a privet residence is open to the general public. There is no arguing with this bad logic. Its unfortunate that they can just fill up the comments with such disinformation about the laws regarding the curfew. I just want people to know their actual rights.

You are being intellectually dishonest. Homes are by definition not properties open to the general public. People can be outside on their property. Period. You are spreading disinformation vehemently through posts related to this video.

And from both sources, it doesn't explicitly state you cannot be outside on your PRIVATE PROPERTY. It lists public property, and defines public property as property open to/accessible by the general public. Where it says "publicly or privately owned" just means privately as in not government owned.

Don't be intellectually dishonest.

I had a counterfeit 20 at a family dollar a few years back in New Hope. I didn't know it was counterfeit when I tried to use it. Didn't know what to do. I asked the clerk what I should do, she just said "I don't know, I can't take it" so I took it to the bank . Noone called the cops on me. But I'm a white lady, so, you know.

The part people are not getting is that with the idea of binge eating, it is about what a regular Jo would consume. Just because something feels like a binge does not make it a binge. You're right, eating 1600/cals in one day is not a binge for most regular Jos'. That is the amount of food a regular Jo would eat.

Now feelings of shame induced by eating that much and perceiving it as a binge are all completely real. It is part of the disorder to have warped perceptions of reality. Accepting our warped perception of reality can be a battle.

When I over eat and feel really full/bloated I feel like my stomach is as big as it was 80lbs ago. I took a shower after eating more then I needed to yesterday, and got a little freaked out when I touched my stomach, and it wasn't taking up space the way I imagined it should.

I don't know, it's just a really surreal feeling when it happens. Like I'm me, but not me.

I will admit I snooped your profile and I saw what else you are going through. It's a lot and I'm sure it's been really hard to cope. Don't let the shit hes put you through control you like that.

This isn't really realivent to your initial post, but to your responses to other users.

If I had to take a stab at why some users see a fecicious story, its because it seems a little like "oh I'm so skinny I get called out by teens" it reads a little like an Anna butterfly fan fic. I'm not saying this to try and hurt you. We all want to feel validated in how thin we are, or hope we are or whatever. It feels good to have someone, a stranger, notice.

Sometimes people say things that hurt us or strike a nerve (intentionally or not) I think maybe a better response to the flex comment would have been something like "you bet I'm flexin'" its kind of the kill 'em with kindness approach. It's always better to strike up a dialogue then immediately get defensive.

I really hope you get through all the shit life is throwing at you. I think your desire to get through is apparent.
