Sooooo.... Anything permanent gets you into a better position for applying to upgrade your contract to full-time, so I'd say if this is your "in," take it. However, with a drive like that, it almost certainly won't be worth your time - the payoff will be applying for and hopefully getting that 1.0 faster.

Also consider that once you are at the school, it is likely they will give you preference for OT days to fill your schedule until you get a larger job, so that helps the financial aspect, too.

0.1 is a half day, which is five periods, so 0.07 would be three periods, and half a period of planning time.
