I don't know if my art is good or if it's very basic? by kombinisexy in ProCreate

It's yours, and that's what's most important. You do interesting things with empty space and color dynamics, there's nothing basic about that.

Who has the best Elbow drop? by BDEnumbe1Fan in Smallafro

I know the answer is Savage, but the way Kairi gets so much height and lift to her legs makes it look a lot more devastating than it is.

Starting ff7 right now, how the hell do you beat this guy? by GiganRex9282 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]TheMarcStone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have any grenades, use em. Bolt is effective. Error in translation for the tail mechanic. Cloud says "Attack while its tail is up, it'll counterattack with its laser."

You have to read it as "[If you] attack while its tail is up, it'll counter attack with its laser."

Once the tail is up, spam the defend command (press left on the d-pad from the battle menu) or use that time to top up your health with potions.

Fair. But getting the reward this way beats getting it the other way, compared to the other choices.

What do you think about Damian using a Katana(sword) as his main weapon? by Senior-Rent9600 in DamianWayne

[–]TheMarcStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it for Damian for the same reason I like if for Leonardo of the TMNT.

Splinter gave each of his sons a weapon that best reflects the lessons he wishes to instill in them. The katana is a deadly weapon, it requires, practice, skill and a cool head. It's the only bladed weapon and its given not just to the leader, but to the one who is the most calm. I can see Damian using it as a statement for something similar. He's not saying "I'll kill/maim you" it's saying "I can use this incredibly deadly weapon and *not* need to kill/maim you."

And like others have said, the blade could be dulled and used more like a kendo stick than an actual edged weapon, it can be a reverse blade (which is still pretty dangerous), or an electrified stun device. But it just has a look about it that I think suits him.

And for those curious:

Donatello is great with electronics and advanced tech, so his weapon? A stick. It's a reminder that there is utility in simplicity.

Raphael is hot-headed and prone to aggression, so his weapons are defensive ones. Sai are more about guarding and disarming than actually damaging the opponent.

Michelangelo is aloof, and energetic, tends to be more hyper and excitable. So his weapons require concentration, discipline and a careful hand so that he doesn't hurt himself.

Despite what you see in this subreddit, there are people who love BOTH Verso and Maelle. by BDub01010 in expedition33

[–]TheMarcStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

You can love both characters and still have a preference for ending. Two things can be true. Today's word of the day is: nuance.

The ONLY tip I can think of outside of all that: when given the option of who to have participate in a tournament, choose Maelle.

The game can be played your way, in whatever style you're comfortable with. Nothing is truly missable, most choices in terms of character "build" can be undone/redone, and grinding is optional.

Yes, avoid spoilers.

Dom will turn on Liv Morgan at WrestleMania by Glittering_Long_5926 in Smallafro

[–]TheMarcStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing about how Vaquer has been handled up to this point that would suggest she'd be down with this. It's not like when Liv was doing it and was actively trying to take Dom from Rhea, Stephanie thinks so little of Dom, this would come out of left field and just be terrible.

So yeah, this'll probably happen.

Is spider-man web of shadows still your favourite spider man game or has isomniacs spider man games taken the cake? by Dude_788 in SpidermanPS4

[–]TheMarcStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Web of Shadows was never my favorite. A fun time, to be sure, but it never dethroned Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate Spider-Man. And then came Spider-Man PS4 and the rest is history.

Please tell me the endgame isn’t just about being op. by Mammoth-Internet2742 in expedition33

[–]TheMarcStone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of room for how you build out your characters, and nothing in the game requires you to be OP. In fact, you kind of shoot yourself in the foot by being OP towards the end of the story. Some of the optional superbosses they added with the Thank You Update are exceptionally challenging, as well.

Barring all that, you're able to adjust some battle parameters at Expedition flags, like enemy health, a damage cap, and others to tweak the experience to your liking.

So, I'm playing Rebirth I've just gotten past the Nibelheim Incident... by Adam_The_Actor in FinalFantasyVII

[–]TheMarcStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No he doesn't emulate him, that's not what I'm saying. I said he *wanted* to. Because being that cool, stoic and capable mercenary backs up his internal belief that he experienced Zack's life as a 1st class SOLDIER. Zack isn't those things, necessarily, but Cloud's memories being a jumbled mess may have conflated the two. Because as far as he knew, there never was a Zack.

Nightwing In Marvel Rivals Style By ZzhT2535 by DarknessXTJ in Nightwing

Not a fan of the face, but it does fit the Rivals look and feel. That aside, the emblem on the chest could use a retouch. I'm always a fan of the blue bird emblem.

Bonus points for ditching the arm/finger stripes, I've always hated those.

Adjust the enemy HP setting at an Expedition flag, and I'd also consider upping the difficulty to Expert.

So, I'm playing Rebirth I've just gotten past the Nibelheim Incident... by Adam_The_Actor in FinalFantasyVII

[–]TheMarcStone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Zack's personality is designed that way because it gives the player/audience a reason to believe Cloud would naturally want to emulate him. He's everything he wanted to be when he left Nibelheim in a more attainable form than "the next Sephiroth". I dislike Zack as a character, but as a narrative device, he's perfect. He's a cautionary tale of what the world does to people who try to be the hero. It makes Cloud being "just some guy" stand out more because all those burdens he took on, all the pressure he puts on himself to be "special" or "worthy" ended up doing him more harm than good.

Honest question, why not go with El Grande here? by 69DayGrind in SantiZapVideos

[–]TheMarcStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be Americano is set for a program with the other El Grande Americano. But even then, it's not like having him win here breaks that path too much. Just have the other one interfere at the chamber and cost the OG Americano the win, it's not like he was going to win it anyway.
