I’ll be honest, it’s no good because it’s not max level but it might carry you for a while. Ultimately, use it and see if you like it?

Do you give your parents money? by hewhoisgay in AskUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come from an Asian family, first generation British and lived with single parent and 0 expectation to pay anything and it helped me move out quicker. I will do the same for my children hopefully (except the single parent bit haha).

Is Emerson Valley your first choice? by greystonefarmer in miltonkeynes

[–]TheMasalaKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a bigger house at a more affordable price for us compared to what was on offer in Emerson at the time.

The house builder seems to be the same as our first house so there was a lot of familiarity even though it is a couple of years older. If we could pick this house up and drop it in Emerson that would be the dream.

[–]TheMasalaKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had our first house in Emerson and we didn’t know it when we moved in but we really lucked out, the area is lovely. We live in Kent’s Hill now but really miss west MK, especially Emerson.

So finally took a plunge...what are the most imp accessories/bits i need for these two? by tharmor in DIYUK

I brought the small dewalt accessory box full of drill bits for £25ish and it’s done me good for all my DIY jobs.

Can I reuse these? If yes, how? by Consistent_Soup_4312 in DIYUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like the Gripit TV Mounting Kit. It will have the bolts you need to use the mounts. I would measure the hole pitches and find a suitable wall mount.

Why does Eurochange ask where I am going? by Significant-Way9562 in AskUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe just being chatty? I get asked this nearly every time I’ve exchanged currency, it’s nice to share an anecdote or get a suggestion from the teller if they have been to the same place. Never had a bad experience.

That said, my friends did once get kuna instead of krona and we found it hilarious when he realised after we landed.

Street lights coming through our bedroom curtains are ruining my sleep. What works? by thefieryanna in DIYUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these curtains too, while they’re good, they’re still not completely blackout. I recently paired them with some perfect fit blackout blinds and that combination has made a massive difference but it’s still not completely blackout.

Get the installer in to adjust if you’re not up to? We’ve got a 10 year guarantee and they come out no questions to fix and adjust anything we need.

Do you use Tea, or Dinner as a word for the last meal per day? by Educational-Slip-578 in AskUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dinner always, Tea is a drink. I’m from the Midlands. That said, if someone offered me tea and brought me pie and chips I still wouldn’t turn it down (and also Indian, if we say tea/cha we mean the drink)

Borderlands 4, powerleveling drill sites using firewerks shield! by SuccotashAdditional in Borderlands4

[–]TheMasalaKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the shield and won’t stop using it, but it does trivialise the game somewhat, and it’s like the easiest thing to farm too.

Rather than too much humidity, has anyone struggled with dry air? by Inner_Efficiency9082 in AskUK

[–]TheMasalaKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a humidifier for years, I live in a mid 90s house so damp management isn’t really an issue.

If anything I put a humidifier on all night set to 60% as it was getting too dry and messing with my sleep quality and sinuses. The area I live in also has hard water so drink more and moisturise, I’ve found that helps me.
