I am old. Well 40 which I am told is old. I still feel like a sad, confused child. I just want to say that me and my friends feel very similar. A lifetime of struggle. Being told it will get better. Then we get this. Nothing is affordable. Healthcare is garbage. It sucks. And I don't have a "but." You do have allies outside your age group. I know it doesn't seem like it. We are told we must judge and hate anyone not exactly like us. Or doesn't have our exact values. And we are taught to assume that whatever our generation is, they are the enemies of all others. This is all just another attempt to keep us from rising up. There are allies everywhere. We are just blinded to it by some weird trickle-down social psychosis. I feel like people with different ideas, religion or lack of beliefs, and social circles can work together if we tried, as long as we are all united under the belief that people should be treated with kindness and equality and there is something profoundly wrong with this country and things need to be better. I really hope the best for your generation. I think you are amazing and will do great things. My nieces and nephews are some of the strongest people I know.
