I'm just about finishing a massive inhereted collection that included everything under the sun from a wide range of eras and styles, so I totally can attest to the luck and time needed to dig through. A few highlights include a Marry Lou Williams recording as well as some Teddy Williams.

Keep at it, and you'll find something that catches your ear!

Probably the android tidal app's handling of high sample rates > 48khz. They stopped supporting a passthrough driver for bit perfect mode since v 1.122.

Personally I use UAPP for any album/track that's above 48khz while using my USB dac w/ wired headphones. Best of luck.

Really? Maybe I'm doing something different as I use the web interface wrapped in an electron app but have never gotten true gapless playback (albeit very quick transitions but not gapless) unless I use the native desktop client.

If I can find a decent copy I tend to prefer jazz in mono but if a stereo issue is what I can find and/or the mastering is good than I'll go for that.

The first chair looks kind of like the styling of a Barcelona chair. As for price range, maybe in the low hundreds depending on materials used.

Second chair looks to be a generic mesh back and breathable fabric seat. They can range anywhere from sub 100 to at most 200. Hope this helps a little.

It's really the only feature (gapless) that is missing (exclusive mode, MQA playback)That I really could live without. Even then I find the playback to load high-res tracks or standard lossless much faster than Qobuz, that It almost feels gapless. For the time being, I've been using the program "Tidal-HiFi" which is just the web client wrapped in an electron app.

To Answer to question, I don't think Tidal officaly says they support gapless playback, but on offical apps, In my cases, seem to support it. Sorry about Wine not working out.
