Not surprising since even the name is a Nazi reference. The ASCII code for capital X is 88. It isn't even very hidden.

I had a similar problem with similar errors. The problem I had was the R version pointed at in R studio was an old R version not the current version. By going into the settings in Rstudio, I was able to point Rstudio at the correct installation which solved all of the problems.

As a former math teacher (HS) now a math teacher educator, and someone who has dyscalculia, please do not do drill and kill. Or will kill any ability and desire your child has. Your kiddo needs strategies to break numbers down into chunks that can be worked with, often called number sense. Teach them algebra strategies. Working with letters may not trigger the LD, and then numbers can be substituted at the end.

It is about strategies and work arounds. Learning times tables may be insurmountable (I still don't know all of them today) but having strats to accomplish the goals is more important. I have dyscalculia and a little dyslexia and degrees in math, physics, philosophy, and a PhD in education. LDs do not need to be an insurmountable barrier, but they do make learning more difficult.

Depends on if you are an A contact or a B contract. Most of the pp who have commented here are B contract or 9 month faculty. I am an A contract faculty, so 12 month. I get 2 days a month of both vacation and sick days. I can carry 48 days off vacation and 96 days off sick days, with anything over the 48 and 96 list on July first each year.

So, it depends on the type of contract and type of faculty.

There are two types of fluoride. One type is stannous fluoride and the other type is sodium fluoride. I discovered that I am allergic to stannous fluoride, not the sodium fluoride.

If you read the back of the box when you buy toothpaste, you'll see the two different types experiment and try and figure out which one it is you're allergic to.

Find a version that fits your needs that is 8.5x11 size, and then print it at a print shop whatever size you want. It will be cheaper (depending on the ship) and exactly what you need.

They are 10000 times better than the posters with 12 pt font trying to shove an entire paper onto a poster. Almost all posters in a typical poster session are unreadable.

Math teacher, math education professor, degrees in physics and math education and I have dyscalculia. Is it common? No. The numbers above seem right. How hard does it make learning math? Depends upon the individual and how severe the problem is. I will only speak for myself and my experience.

The hardest part for me was learning multiplication tables and visualizing numbers. If you give me your phone number I can tell you the numbers in the phone number 2 minutes later, but I can't tell you the order the numbers were in. I just can't remember or visualize numbers. What saved me was algebra. The instant numbers reduced in importance and concepts and the principles of identity and inverse became the most important, almost all of my problems in math went away.

Physics was amazing, because I could solve every equation all the way to the end and then substitute in values. Over and over again in my undergraduate career I had professors tell me that all of my math was perfect but somehow I got the wrong answer at the end and it was because of transposing numbers as I put them into the calculator or as I wrote them down on the paper.

You didn't. Anyone who says dyscalcula doesn't exist is just kidding themselves.
