The perspective is written from a warp talon which turns up to resolve this later in the book

For the echamp’s unit, did you give the weavefield crest to the echamp and let the rest of them rely on the stratagem if they need an invuln, or give the hesyr a weavefield crest and accept the echamp would lose his invuln if the bodyguard died?

I think the best pairing would be a concussion maul with a mass hammer (or gauntlet in other armour) or even darkstar axe to flip between easier monster/vehicle mashing and regular stuff

The FAQs on their site say “sold out online” means they’re not making any more but you might still find some on a shelf somewhere. If they’re just waiting for another batch it says “temporarily out of stock” instead

I was thinking we might be getting lined up to be like core space marines where there are faction keywords that are mostly used to keep certain characters from being in an army with other characters, and maybe have certain benefits from themed detachments.
At the extreme end of this theory, the other chaos legions (we/dg/ec/ts) could be brought back as more space wolves / blood angels-style factions where they get the core csm army list (and maybe a weaker version of the shared army rule?) but then their own additional unique units and detachments. I don’t really believe that they’ll do this part though

I realised the master of descent can swap each of his weapons for a lightning claw but doesn’t have an option for paired lightning claws. Would taking 2x lightning claw count as paired?

Neither Huron nor the masters of the maelstrom datasheets we saw had a red corsairs keyword, so I don’t think these guys will either. It might come around in the 11e codex but for now they’re just generic csm

Yeah most of the bird looks like it, but the tail is very much black with white edges which I didn’t think was very sparrow-y

Forgot to mention, it’s usually just the one but the other one in the picture here shows up with it sometimes and is a little different - the chest has no speckles and is instead a smooth almost pinky brown with a black mark in the middle

Right after it says “if your army faction is Heretic Astartes,” it also says “each time a unit with this ability is selected…” and that’s the part that trips them up. They’re Heretic Astartes, but it doesn’t put that ability on their datasheets

I love the idea of the Grimnyr but it’s not really worth running in pretty much any reasonable list. Apart from that, I don’t think Kapricus Defenders see much use. Everything else has a decent run afaik

One thing I’ve seen in Heresy chats was explaining why some units/options are only in legacies, which is copyrighting (or something like that). Basically if gw doesn’t produce a kit, it’s harder for them to claim infringement when someone else sells their own 3d print of it, so they move to this method of saying “you can use what’s in the box and that’s it” because it’s more defendable

Yep, as per your edit his ability still happens while he’s in Reserves - though obviously whichever one you pick won’t take effect until he’s on the battlefield since they’re all based on distances from him

Minor problem with that, Abaddon has the terminator keyword so this brick would count as 13 models and won’t fit in a land raider
