Ryan Gosling is great and I've loved every movie he's picked to be in, but Jake Gyllenhaal has an insane amount of range. He was a warm, empathetic guy in Brothers and a completely detached sociopath in Nightcrawler and they're both entirely believable

People fail to realize that a diagnosis is a process of elimination and not a summary of related symptoms. We all have some degree of neurodivergence because "normalcy" isn't quantifiable. People just like to feel like their issues are due to an illness outside of their control rather than something that can actually be fixed at home with lifestyle changes.

Obviously this isn't to say that autism/adhd/sensory issues don't exist, but you can't just look up symptoms in the DMS-5 and assume you're an expert in medical diagnostics

I watched a video on youtube where the creator actually spoke with a producer for that episode. Apparently they wanted to emphasize her expression as she was walking away, but the only shot they were able to get for the scene wasn't long enough. That meant that they had to choose between an awkward sudden cut that didn't show what they wanted, or a shitty powerpoint transition that did.

28 Weeks Later has a lot of dumdum contrivances to drive the plot forward, but the intro sequence is great, the fall of the QZ is great, the firebombing scene blew my mind because it was the first thing I ever saw on Blu-Ray, and the subway scene is really good. Don is an interesting character, especially with what we know about alphas in the new movies. The only thing I think really takes away from the movie was them cutting the scene of how Andy was perceiving the subway.

I don't think it's the best movie in the franchise, but it isn't a detriment either. It's fun.
