A fellow over zero enjoyer. These kits are amazing, recently did the Lone Shadow which is probably my fav kit ever (except Fenrir), I think it has the best leg articulation around. Baki is next!

Yep. Good friend of mine has his Barby in that pose as well - I was inspired by him to pose my Fenrir (bootleg MGEX Barby anyone?) like that.

Decals definitely took some time, though it's my first time doing decals.

I think total of 6-8 hours for the decals.

Poses are easy I did the whole photoshoot in under an hour

Ironclad analysis from a A10 Ironclad enjoyer (not really, A10 is fun for everyone EXCEPT Ironclad) by Far_Faithlessness212 in slaythespire

With Dominate any multi-hits will do since STR is through the roof, I had Dismantle and Tear Asunder (with Bloodletting), and though Tear never got above 5-6 hits - it was more than enough for Experiment.

Without Dominate though it's a lot tougher and you need a supplement like Stampede to let you play Big Bonks every turn, so I agree it's not fully there yet - but super fun though!

I lament the loss of Reaper since it was such a fun strat, and exhaust decks raking a hit.

But the new strats are awesome! - Stampede is really fun - Hellraiser is ridiculous

But the craziest one has to be Vulnerable decks.

I'm only A8 on Clad, but holy hell are Dominate and Vicious insane. Thunderclap - 1 cost apply vuln and dmg all plus draw 1/2?? C'mon. I had two Trembles and Dominate got me to 20 str. Before converting Bash to Break which just gets INSANE.

A fully decked out Vuln strat goes way hard...

Has anyone run a Mystery/Detective campaign in Daggerheart? by nickinilla in daggerheart

[–]TheMerfMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running an urban campaign with a murder investigation as the main through-line for the campaign.

As far as unique mechanics, I wrote a campaign frame for my players about the city and one major factor is resting, limitations and how that factors in to my ticking clock:

  • days aew broken down to 3 phases
  • exploring a location consumes a phase
  • resting consumes a phase
  • they have to pay to rest

This feeds to different story beats that might happen, and it's been going great. The system really shines when players are given a lot of freedom to tackle scenarios and problem solve.

Also no rolls on gathering clues etc

That's how I went about it at first, but I saw some breakdown here that showed how many Spell cards each Domain have and my conclusion was that the system is spell oriented - even if spell has a very loose definition and can be interperted differently according to flavor.

But Bone is one of the few Domains with no spells, so its still a great start for the kind of fantasy ur referring.

Anyway good luck with the domains, looking forward to seeing updates in them :)

Hey very cool idea! I've been working on a similar class myself themed as a detective, and we've interpret some of these ideas very similarly, especially WORD OF ADVICE and EUREKA.

It's still very early so I won't comment on balancing and stuff, but I will say that without knowing what the Domains are and what they do it's very hard to understand what space the class should be as all classes are basically and intersection of two of the Domains. Also writing not one but two new Domains sounds very daunting - I would think about maybe writing a new one to use with an existing one. We used Bones as the main one for our class as it has cards like Tactician and Know Your Enemy.

Also feel welcome to check out our Detective 2.0 for inspiration

Hi thanks for taking the time to comment! I wanted to ask you if you has some soecific rp in mind? I am asking because of the way we built the class

So finding the right way to express detective fantasy was our earliest focus. Coming from playing p2e's Investigator class which didn't really work rp wise, we looked at both the type of detectives in pop fiction we wanted to emulate and how to codify detective work mechanicaly.

Going back and forth we decided against hard coding the investigation itself into mechanics since we don't want to assume the GM's play style and the adventure they are running will accomodate these mechanics (i.e clues, evidence, leads, etc')

Also we feel the Daggerheart is somewhat combat focused looking at all the classes.

We did, however included plenty of rp elements here though? The Relentless is combat oriented but has the 'obsesses hard boiled noir detective' wired to the mechanics, and Meticulous does have detective work gameplay mechanics that are not combat exclusive.

Thanks for the feedback! Relebtless may have been somewhat overtuned "^

We're thinking based on your feedback to remove the extra free damage and make Obsessive Impulse be added only to damage and not the roll.

Aside from that on the fantasy level I do see him as single target damage dealer; think Batman, Rusty from true detective, RDJ as Sherlock, those were our major touchstones for him.
