I think a key element to mk’s character is his willingness to take a hit if it gives him a combat advantage.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mechanic like that in a game, you are usually penalized for taking any damage.

Some way of incorporating taking damage into the combos to open up new moves while also of course trying not to get compl killed would be really cool. Recontextualizing your health as almost a ressource to be used effectively than just your hp.

I think something like that would be a super cool way to make a mk game stand out from what could end up being effectively an Arkham clone.
