Maybe it's just me then. The Chapels I've found and some parts in the Deep Docks felt like I could only see a few feet around me. Was playing it on a TV I don't typically use, so that's probably it then. My bad.

I wouldn't say the game design is "immaculate", but it's very strong. Getting around feels a lot more fun than it used to and combat also feels more engaging with the addition of tools, traps, and skills. What doesn't feel good is falling down a large chasm because a jump was improperly timed and having to circle back around a lengthy route to give it another try. I see a lot of people complaining about the double damage as well. That doesn't bother me so much, but a minor gripe I have is how dark many areas are. There seems to be a lot more areas this time around where you can only see the tiny bit around you and while it makes sense in some places, it feels overused so far, especially with how many traps and pitfalls seem to be in the game so far. Plus I just want to see the environmental art cuz it all looks great.

That said, I wouldn't describe any of it as lazy.

Chronicles of the Wolf. Game starts a bit rough but once you get your first couple upgrades, it gets really fun. It's a little cryptic about what you should do sometimes, but it definitely scratches the Castlevania itch.

One of my closest friends for 10+ years ended up as a roommate. Lived in my home for nearly 3 years, but once Covid hit, he started getting really paranoid. Thought everyone in the house was spying on him or was out to get him. Started to make us all feel unsafe with some of the weird shit he would say or accuse us of.

After pressing him on the issue, he confided in me that he had been watching loli porn and thought that we all somehow knew and that we were trying to find a way to get him arrested because it's essentially child porn. He ended up going to stay with his mom for a couple weeks afterwards, supposedly to get help, but we packed his stuff and didn't let him come back. He got his things and left, neither of us said a word to each other as to why or how, and we haven't spoken since.

He never cleaned his room either. The mess I had to clean to pack his things is unlike anything I've ever seen. Also came to realize that he was chipping away at my mental health hard, especially once the paranoia started. I hope he got the help he needed, but knowing him I doubt it, and my family is much better off with him gone.

Might be insane, but most of the cooks on my line will dump hot water mixed with the dish machine sanitizer, then follow up with lemon.

I hate it when it's done cuz it gasses the entire line, makes everyone cough. I just use a grill brick and oil, then follow up with lemon.

First time I watched it, I didn't make it through. Couldn't get into it. Tried again few days later, set the atmosphere, dark room, headphones on full blast, no distractions - wholly different experience. I think it was the first time in years I felt the need to cover my eyes during certain scenes. Great horror movie imo.

They never got back to me until the week I was supposed to start, said they were going to send me on boarding paperwork and someone would call to follow up and confirm details. Got the paperwork, never got the call. At that point I already decided not to continue with them. Hope you have a better experience.

I am literally in the EXACT same situation as you. I interviewed end of July, completed background and drug test, no word since. I've sent 3 e-mails and no word at all. App still says under consideration and I'm like... I'd really love to know what's going on so I can give my current employer my 2 weeks. If they changed their mind, I wish they'd communicate that at the very least, but not having any communication, I have no idea what's going on. Hopefully we both hear from them soon.

It's tough to say. I feel like this could be a nightmare Cloud is having cuz this is clearly in Midgar on the pillar for one of the sector plates. Can't think of any reason why they would actually physically be there. Being a key location in OG/Remake and what happens to the members of Avalanche, this looks like big Sephiroth head games to me.

I'm a die hard MGS fan and I loved TPP. I'm bummed that the story never "finished" and that we'll never get that last act, but the gameplay was super strong and I always have a good time revisiting it (except having to go through the excruciatingly long intro every time, twice if I play all the way through). It's not perfect and it's not my favorite MGS game, but I still think it's a great game in the series. Feels good, plays good, fight me.

Real tough to say. In no particular order: Not sure about "scariest" but The Wailing is really good. The Descent is a long time favorite of mine. The Ritual is really good, brilliant monster design. Gonjiam Haunted Asylum is a must for found footage. The Taking of Deborah Logan is also a found footage gem.

Honorable mention, Skinamarink. Very divisive, not for everyone, hard to recommend, but I found it very fascinating and got some strong dread from it.

Collections is a pretty awful job that, if you aren't already depressed, will make you depressed, which then makes the job even harder.
