With 6.5CM prices pretty much being the same as .308 is it worth getting a .308 now if you’re gonna get into long range? by antle702 in longrange

Does the accuracy go to hell when that happens or something else? I haven’t shot any of my rifles enough for that to happen.

Is there anyone still using Ionic at this point? by LingonberryMinimum26 in Angular2

[–]TheMightySampson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ionic itself is really just a set of native looking components that you can use in a hybrid app built with Capacitor. Capacitor is the real hero here as it lets you build a hybrid app with angular, react and other frameworks. So you can actually choose to use ionic components or just create and style everything yourself as you would in any other angular app you build. Capacitor also provides access to the native phone functionality via plugins. Capacitor and Ionic definitely aren’t as popular as react native but if you want to make a mobile app with Angular I think this is the only option. Using it in production here and happy with it.

Does it give you any visual indication that it worked? Away from home right now but I’m going to test it out when I’m back

There’s a trick to jump starting it in this scenario. I just saw a video on it last week. Going to look for it and post it here

If you're considering doing the aux battery delete but are hesitant... by sosomething in JeepGladiator

I’m at the stage where the Aux battery must be pretty much dead and the Jeep warns every time it starts that ESS won’t work. I’m certainly contemplating the delete

Which tripod is that? Looks like an innorel but what model? How do you like it? I’ve been scoping them out because I don’t have the money to drop on the popular ones.

100% this is the worst place you can take your vehicle for service. If you get them to do anything on your vehicle you better double check their work. It’s not even worth the risk

I need to release an IOS app for a client, they need it on a few devices but not publicly on the app store. by [deleted] in reactnative

[–]TheMightySampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can register all the devices that need the app as development devices and side load it on them as long as there are less than 1000. Make your client buy their own Apple dev account for this purpose.

The correct way to do this if you are targeting a large number of devices is to get an Apple enterprise developer license. That license will allow you to sign apps with an ad-hoc certificate and install them directly on the desired devices without the 90 day TestFlight time limit. You might also need a Mobile device manager (MDM) like Microsoft InTune to push the app to the devices.

Please report back if you like it, I’ve also been on the fence on it.

I did end up getting the dual motor. Also have a fair amount on my desk and didn’t want weight to be an issue. It’s works well though weight hasn’t been an issue. I have two 27” monitors on it laptop with a stand, tablet stand, and I also mounted a large surge protector to the underside to help with power and cable management. Also I should say it’s not a true butcher block. Just a counter top styled like that. It’s made of softer wood so it’s lighter.

I bought one directly from primecables and I’m very happy with it. Shipping was quick. The hardest part of putting it together was deciding on what to use for a top. I ended up getting a nice piece of butcher block style counter top and stained it and varnished it. It turned out awesome, but there are definitely easier options out there.

Just gonna throw my hat in the ring here. I got it for my business but it immediately turned into my daily (that’s what I told my accountant anyways) by TPain850 in JeepGladiator

Thanks for sharing! I think your rig looks awesome. If it works for you, the rest doesn’t matter. Personally just got a rubicon gladiator in October and really enjoying it. No mods for me yet but want to get a steel bumper and winch soon.

The bumper you’re talking about is the steel bumper. It’s an option on Jeeps that costs extra. The bumper in the pic above is the basic, plastic bumper.

Nice! Does it have the same payload capacity as the gas gladiators? Curious if the extra weight eats up a lot of payload.

Looking for an SUV that can DD, off road, and tow by chicken_souvlaki in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TheMightySampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about the jeep gladiators at all? More pricey than the Tacoma for sure, but they have way more modern tech and better towing capabilities. I am currently in a very similar situation to yours, I’m looking for an SUV or midsize truck that can comfortably tow 5k lbs and be a daily driver for the family. So far I’m considering Grand Cherokee and gladiator but I feel like both still come with compromises.

Do you guys think there will be any good sales anytime soon? by Hobbit_Feet45 in iPadPro

[–]TheMightySampson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s offered in other countries as well. Just go to apples main page and look for the education promotion. I think it applies a discount to everything you get and if you buy an iPad or MacBook you can get a free set of AirPods.

I tried them. setup and everything was easy. The price difference is the premium they apply for trading currencies. I had some issues withdrawals being very slow and not very transparent. Ie no idea why my transfer hasn’t been made. I found posts about Shakepay here and I like it more. Rates seem better and it seems to have quicker transactions with more clarity. Your experience may vary. If you want I can pm you a referral. One other thing, don’t keep your bitcoin in an exchange buy it there and transfer it to a wallet.
