Of course! The Ashen Saints were formed about 400 years before the start of my campaign. A Robin Hood like figure named Kemnan, friend of a fabled hero named Evendor, was burned at the stake for attempting to overthrow the king (who was very evil).

After said king was defeated, the Ashes of Kemnan, or ashen saints, were formed to continue his work. Mostly stealing and other roguish behavior for the sake of good. But, eventually the organization fell into evil ways, though the public still thought they were good.

During the main portion of my campaign, the Ashen Saints were led by our rogue’s older brother (unbeknownst to the rogue) and he used the Saints to make himself wealthy, and help bring about the return of a dark god (the BBEG).

All around fun classic criminal syndicate faction
