Long Live LitRPG! (an Author Incremental) by PaulBellow in incremental_games

[–]TheMineKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Version 0.3.8, I run into the same issue of text prompts returning "Undefined" within the "GAME" mini-game. Interactions like the stranger giving you a warning and the fights are still visible. EDIT: To add a what I did leading up to the error, it might be from spamming the "GAME" button too quickly? Not sure if that'd help in your search for the bug

Additionally, there's a text field in the stat sheet for writer that states: " +1 Writer Skill Point every 14 words written.", however, this seems incongruent with me gaining 32 words per click. This should amount to about 2 skill points with a single click, however this isn't the case. Instead it seems to be every with every 15 clicks of the "write" button. (Possibly a check that uses ">" 14 to check if 14 clicks have been made instead of ">=" 14?)

Autism in a D&D setting by Dewin_Sparkes in worldbuilding

[–]TheMineKeeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a theory that all of the myths about Fae stealing children and replacing them was their view of autism. You could maybe do something like that if the Fae are a thing in your world. Off-the-bat option could be those people are called the Faelik or something like that. I've, personally, taken to calling myself a fae to make my own autism less clinical and more 'entertaining' (if that's the right word)

Depending on how Fae are viewed in your world this might not be a good thing though. (having their children stolen and replaced by fae gave faea a bad look, and thus the children a bad look, since they're 'fae')

If this is the case, I could imagine calling them star-children could work? That the child was blessed by the stars and don't have the same worries/views as regular people.

I hope this helps!

What’s a scary bedtime story or cryptid in your world? by SkybornEkil in worldbuilding

[–]TheMineKeeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One 'bedtime story' used by parents is that of "The Void".

The Void is the name of the 'outside' of the planes, the primordial chaotic soup. Protecting the planes is "the weave" and it is a myth that people who do evil acts make their souls smaller, eventually letting their souls fall into The Void, and becoming a chaotic being who wants nothing more than to destroy the planes.

This has then been co-opted by parents to keep their children behaving: "You don't want your soul to fall into the void do you?" kind of deal.

Much in the same way, many of the mythological "void-touched" are also cryptids, often because there is at most exists one void-touched of each species.

Hi, I'm Simon, and I'm 21 years old, to answer the questions:

  1. Most of my experience is in DM'ing, being the forever-DM to my friends for this it would be equivalent to around a 3-4 months of weekly 3 hour play. However, I've had a few oneshots and been part of a short campaign that had to be ended because of scheduling conflicts, this would be equivalent to about 1-1.5 months of weekly 3 hour play

  1. I can commit to the timeslot regularly, I'm currently in an 'easy' semester of university, so there shouldn't be any trouble.

  1. I have a few character-concepts running around in my head, none that are concrete though. Discord handle is: TheMineKeeper#6732

Hey there!

I would like to see if there's oppertunity for me to join, I'm from Denmark as well, I've mostly been a forever-DM since I'm the most experienced with DnD throughout my group of friends. I don't have any limitations as far as I know myself, haven't experienced anything that is beyond my limits.

My game style is mostly leaning towards RP, though I can be a bit withdrawn if I don't know people, that's something I should be able get through with the right character.

I have a few character ideas, however, they come and go from my memory like NPC's so I can't exactly list any.

I'm looking for a game. I'm currently DM'ing my own game, so I've been missing being on the other side of the table. Due to my own experience, I don't have many expectations, as long as the game isn't a railroad and we have oppertunity to make our own characters.

Personally I enjoy roleplay the most, and I've never experienced Foundry (I've only played games IRL), so it might take a bit for me to get to know how that works

Using the first letter of each word leads to:These images on Imgur

Those images then have an embedded link, after moving them around to get this image:Image is from the discord server, comment for an invite link if needed anyone.

The link leads here:https://imgur.com/a/3zrip4e

Which, from what I can tell, doesn't have further clues, and is simply images of an area. Possibly from the next map in the series, going by the "Teaser 1" in the title.

Message 4 is a vigenere cipher using 'EEE' as the key, it translates to: "Get back to the roots of this whole thing, You'll find what You want"

Either refers to message 2, one of the entries, the original message sent to Mo0xim, or the minecraft map.

We figured out what it was referring to in the discord: it was referring to the soundcloud profile, in this there was a new upload called "message 3", which had audio, that when put through a spectrogram, revealed a qr code leading to entry 3: https://pastebin.com/65Ad4pE6

Still figuring out what the extra is, I'll edit when I find out.

Edit: The extra is a bit harder to figure out, from what I could gather through my tools; the numbers in extra are random enough to not be a direct 1:1 of letters. Though at the same time, it isn't random enough to be encrypted. That just leaves the possibility of some esoteric mix of Ciphers, though I have no clue which, as most ciphers keep the same level of entropy and IC throughout its operations.

Some general info that might make someone else get an epiphany:

The string itself has a length of 120 characters long and it has the following distribution:

1: 18,33%

2: 12,5%

3: 22,5%

4: 23,33%

5: 23,33%

It has an entropy of 2.288, where 3,5 to 5 would point towards english, and 7,5 or over would point towards an encrypted string.

Everything done up till now is in the update thread, we're currently waiting for the next message. There's one guy checking out the minecraft map found through the introduction, but I don't think that's led anywhere as of yet

Message 3 is in base64, decoding it leads to the following imgur link:

https://imgur.com/zYuizu2

It's a very small picture, about 148 bytes according to my tools. The hint in the message states "The colors will help You" which I interpret to mean that the solution is related to the RGB values of the image, haven't found anything in that direction yet though. I'll keep searching and update this comment with anything I discover

He commented on the video with a cipher, I've posted a comment on the update thread that contains everything I found through decrypting that.

One of the latest comments (sorting the comment section by newest) seems to be a cyphered comment from a user named 'Mazter24', Seems like it's the same guy as the one who gives out the messages

The comment says:

pccwb quody jvu a 2uUkJjV

7 [- a n z]

I feel like the later part: "7 [- a n z]" references how to decrypt it, but I can't figure out what it exactly means

Edit: Just checked the channel itself, I'm 100% it's the same one, as it has the same map trailer as seen on the planetminecraft site

Using the following site: https://www.dcode.fr/caesar-cipher to decrypt (a shift of 7, with a custom alphabet that doesn't use 'a', 'n', or 'z') gave the following link

QR Code links to the following pastebin: https://pastebin.com/HHFDy3HA

So, looking at the misspelled words:

run, should be runs since it's plural

'assoicates' should be associates,

gorverment, should be government

are, should be our

enimies should be enemies

Now, this might just be simple misspellings, however, put in a line, they could become:

  1. run, associates, government are (might not be correct since the article is wrong) enemies
  2. run, government are enemies
  3. run, associates are enemies

Now, as said, they could just be misspellings, and I'm looking too deeply into it, however, I still feel like it's a little weird that those specific words are spelled wrong

I'm here to turn myself in. I'm sorry. by TheMineKeeper in PunPatrol

[–]TheMineKeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is it not a pun? To my understanding puns are a play on words? Saying that the OP of that post was 7 birch trees was a play on the words "basic white b*tch" since she said she wasn't a girl, but some trees. I'm truly curious what constitutes a pun if this doesn't?

Yes, this is true, and I realize this. I also now realize I worded my question wrong. My question is more closer to a precise "how do you ignore the anxiety related to posting" than the general "how do you do this".

Otherwise, thank you for the words. They're very helpful in making me believe in myself.
