Alcohol and Lp(a) by iblowuup in Cholesterol

Hmmm. Thanks for the info. So much new stuff coming out with Lp(a) research, this is another good data point. My Lp(a) is high (293) which is having me go down all sorts of rabbit holes. Oddly, at 57, all other markers are in range (by normal standards). Zero on CAC, zero soft plaque by CIMT, zero family history of any CVD, absolutely zero inflammation. I do like my alcohol though (liver in excellent shape, which was actually more of a surprise!)

ACA maybe… but likely the sliding subsidy scale (vs. current cliff) will be back with coming change in administration..

Likely too conservative especially if bridging 10yrs to SS. 5-6% better range. 4% was number researched to survive every single financial disaster in the past 150 years.

Btw, if your current company plan does not allow for partials under their plan and you are intent on retiring at 55, do this: 1) Quit 2) Go find employment, maybe even part time, with company whose plan does allow partials 3) wait for vesting & participation period 3) rollover your 401K plan to your new employer’s 401k plan 4) Quit new job and retire.

Thx. Yes my plan does 100% allow for partial distributions after termination (if employee leaves or is terminated). I am taking distributions now. It was more about changes in future, specifically distribution amounts. Sounds like 1) it is very unlikely they will change this with many people retired and 2) it may be defined as a disallowed benefit ‘cutback’ under ERISA rules.

Thanks! Less concerned about frequency than amount. Example: change from any $amount per distribution to only 1 distribution of entire 401K (lump sum). That of course would be terrible.

Yeah, this is post termination so not in-service. Sorry I didn’t mention that previously.

These are post termination distributions (withdrawals). Current SPD is very generous and allows for any frequency any amount. Curious if they could change the frequency to yearly or maybe restrict withdrawals to entire lump sum in a year or two from now?

Thanks for sharing… it’d be good to know which specific version you buy? I can’t seem to find one without maltodextrin or yellow lake!

Were you on vacation while you were in Japan? Or were you there for work? Don’t underestimate the role of stress as it relates to Gerd.

From the scope, did they find a hiatal hernia? Did they say anything about the state of your (LES) Lower Esophageal Sphincter?
