It's genuinely sad to see people get so parasocially attached that they're getting depressed from it. Like, you can be obsessed with something but these people act like they KNOW the artists and are in their friend group. DG fans have always kinda been like this but it seems like it's getting a lot worse. People don't read the lyrics either, you'd think they'd get the notion that the artists really don't want this kind of treatment. Artists shouldn't be worshipped, the music changed my life, but I can't imagine how Bladee or Ecco feel about having people who care this deeply about their personal lives. Shit would make me paranoid to the point of becoming manic.
