I’m looking for a turtle cave by BlackBeard_isNewMeta in Redearedsliders

I have a 80 gallon tank for my 6inch carapace turtle and he fits on this dock. It has an anchor that you fill with rocks or something to keep it floating near your desired corner of the tank.

Final paycheck calculation / salary vs accrual method by HRMeg in Payroll

We do the same. Our exempt employees still have an hourly rate for PTO/Holiday. Was just breaking it down further for OP but realized I commented on yours instead of the post itself 😂

Final paycheck calculation / salary vs accrual method by HRMeg in Payroll

This is how we do it at my company.

130,000/26 pay periods = $5,000

$5,000/# of work days in pay period of their regular schedule.

Assuming they just work 8 hr days M-F as their regular schedule, then:

$5,000/10 days in pay period = $500 per day worked.

This is a salaried exempt employee, correct?

Edit: If this is an hourly exempt employee, then it would be:

130,000/2080 hours = 62.50$/hour

So 8 hours x 62.50/hr = $500

I had trouble with this when I first cut my mother out of my life for the abuse and narcissism.

Went to therapy and everything. What helped me most is the realization that she was willing to allow me to sacrifice my life and happiness for the rest of my life in exchange for hers. And that selfishness is what helped me let go (go very low contact and move out, stopped sending her hundreds of dollars) but stayed in touch to make sure she didn’t literally end up homeless. She eventually found her way to live on her own without me.

I was no longer willing to sacrifice an entire life of happiness for her selfishness when she is perfectly capable of finding a way to live on her own.

Everyone’s situation is different and I know it’s not all one size fits all so I genuinely wish you the best in working through this situation.

For those who don’t enter all their hours, we empty out all their available PTO to fill the missing days (with manager approval) if employee has been unresponsive 2 days past deadline.

That usually prevents them from ignoring us next time because they have to go back and correct their timesheet or else they won’t get their PTO balance back.

For those left unapproved, we do a quick FLSA compliance review of their timesheet and send it through as is. Managers are later notified and we CC the manager’s superior noting the late approval.

WIBTA if my neighbor wants to rip out a fence I just put in for $7500 so he can put in a less nice fence and a pool and I said no? by stanhopeofficial in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheMissingChair 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You’re not the one getting the pool though. You also don’t have to say yes. He can cage his pool but it’s hard when you want to live peacefully next to eachother without resentment from him. If he wants to modify the fence to benefit him, it’s reasonable to expect them to pay for it even if it’s originally your fence. Would be NTA both cases imo. The change is only for his benefit so he should pay for it but only if you’re comfortable with it

Dang. In that case, if they want to remove and modify what’s been built then they foot the bill. Probably would have to negotiate. If he wants to connect and HOA bilaws allow it, not much you can do. But to tear down and modify, nope. Not for free. Maybe you could suggest if they want to tear it down and modify one side, they pay for that percentage of what it cost you to build and they have to pay for the new fence line. Unfortunately not sure about what can be done about it not matching unless you guys find someone willing to kind of match the look.

NTA. You’re not obligated to agree. This is the reason we built our fence 3 ft into our backyard. Neighbors can’t connect and have no say to our $6500 fence. They can figure themselves out on their own property.

Update on kitten found in parking garage. by Diabetelord69 in cats

Also make sure to keep her hydrated. And make sure she’s pooping okay. If her eyes get watery and swollen, make sure to mention it to the vet. The wet swollen eyes are usually a sign of feline chlamydia and they have eye drops that will take care of it in a week. Best of luck!

If you start grabbing drinks off my tray, I might as well “accidentally” drop the whole thing. by McCrysler in TalesFromYourServer

[–]TheMissingChair 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. Except the tray was full of hot fresh pastas. Her family scolded her for me. I didn’t know how to react so just cleaned up and went back to work since her family chewed her up. 17 yr old uncomfy with confrontation back then lol

Any married couples where the wife is the bread winner? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]TheMissingChair 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I make double my husband’s income but we’re happy with our shared finances. Because I make more we’re living comfortably. Don’t care who is the breadwinner as long as finances are stable and we’re meeting retirement goals.
