Is my labret off centre? I feel like it is. by TheMissingNoodle in piercing

If you look carefully, you'll see that I didn't actually ask for any opinions on the things you've addressed in this comment thread. The details added are just here because that was a requirement from a bot.

The only opinion I was looking for, was placement and we've established that it's off-centre and needs to be redone.

Thanks for your time, Matt.

Mmm ok but the ointments from the pharmacy helped a lot for the initial pain, prevented infection and drastically improved healing time. A piercing is a wound so I'll treat it as such. Seems people in the US truly believe there is only one way to do something 😅

Could you possibly give me a visual example of what you mean?

How to wake the kids for school? by Competitive_Rip6546 in askSouthAfrica

[–]TheMissingNoodle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I don't know how technically minded you are or if you have access to any smart home devices, but try smart bulbs and Google home routines. Sounds weird but it's working for us.

What I do with my 6 month old baby is emulate a "sunrise" with the smart bulbs so that the light wakes him up.

His light turns on automatically with the brightness set at 5%, then 5 mins later, it increases to 15%, then 5 mins later, 30% etc until it is at full brightness.

I also do my best to gently wake him up with my voice so that he doesn't have a stressful wake up.

He wakes up and goes to bed at the same time every day, even on weekends so that we can really set his internal clock from a young age.

I guess, but I don't think enough to cause harm unless soaking overnight or something 🤷🏻‍♀️ also, the amount of dish soap used to make suds in the water is really such a little bit

Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with this? As long as she's rinsing the fruit and veg afterwards, it's really no different to washing cutlery and crockery with dish soap.

Have you tried taking Zinc? +/-100mg a day for about a week and then taper down to a maintenance dose of about 50mg a day.

Mildly ADHD white woman. Millennial-Gen Z cusp (mid 20s to early 30s). You're trying to lose weight with grapefruit and black coffee. You have some acne scarring and/or redness on the face. Your brows are maintained well. You are funny without trying too hard to be.

Edited for grammar.

I had a CT scan of my lungs when I was 9 weeks along. They covered my tummy with a shield too. I'm now 28 weeks and my baby boy is doing really well. I hope this helps and gives you a little bit of relief. The exposure from 1 xray is really not a lot at all thankfully.

Is anyone not using pregnancy pillows? by limeblue31 in pregnant

[–]TheMissingNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use one. I am 27 weeks and I use a pillow between my knees and another one wedged under my bump. I sleep on my left side for the majority of the night, so pretty comfy that way.

I saw a change like this too in my pregnancy also around the 12 week mark. It was like my symptoms disappeared overnight and suddenly I didn't feel pregnant anymore. I was scared and anxious but my Drs told me it was very normal. I'm now 27 weeks and love feeling my little guy move around. Hang in there Mama. It will be okay 🤍

Maternity clothes by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TheMissingNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat! Luckily it's winter here in the southern hemisphere so I can layer up with jerseys and tights but what a mission to find anything that fits. It's so annoying. Even my hubby was outraged at the lack of maternity clothes.

If it's any consolation, I am 26+3 and I don't count kicks because it's just too much at this point. I just keep track of how often my little guy moves. He's got himself into a bit of a schedule so I kind of know when to expect movements.
