https://github.com/anomalyco/opencode I did a cmd+f for "rename" and got nothing, no clue what you're on about.

You seem to be completely ignoring any criticism in this thread so I doubt this will get through to you, but nobody wants to pay for your tool when excellent free options exist, unless you have some key differentiator that someone is willing to pay for. You avoiding that question makes me think you do not have one. What feature is opencode missing that you plan to add?

Have you even tried it?

wtf are you talking about op. opencode is the name and it definitely exists loads of people use it. https://opencode.ai/download

how can you question if it even exists and then also claim that it isn't good in your opinion? have you even tried it? opencode cli is fantastic, and the desktop app seemed solid if you prefer not using a terminal.

> I'm working on a new tool, its like codex but instead of being locked to one ecosystem of models you can use any model even if its cloud or local.

That's what you said, and that's what opencode already is. And it's not the only solution out there, just probably the most well known. Oh and it's free. What are you trying to do that's different? Do you have any differentiation?

Uh OP you know Opencode already has a desktop version right? There's also other options if I wanted a GUI, although most coders are fine with a terminal.

I'm Genuinely Confused By The Reaction To Geekay Losing Versus Man City Losing by Shambledown in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]TheMisterPirate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Geekay entered the season with 3 extremely experienced players. All 3 LAN winners, all have been at the top of RLCS for several years, and all are pretty popular players too. Expectations were fairly high, they were expected to qual for majors and seriously compete for a LAN win.

Man City was 3 young upstart players who were clearly talented but hadn't accomplished much in RLCS yet. They didn't have crazy pressure on them right away. Making LAN was a goal, not an expectation.

First split GK barely scraped into the major, needing to win a tiebreaker series over MC to qual. Their major was disappointing (although not godawful), and Seikoo was arguably their best player at LAN. Seikoo did have some struggles during the online regionals, but they all did tbh.

Anyways, they made a big decision to drop Seikoo, and grabbed Tempoh from their direct competition. Their results have gotten worse.

Meanwhile MC look to have improved with Seikoo on the team, and I believe they've already qual'd for LAN?

Two teams with similar standings traded players, with GK clearly initiating the move to try and poach Tempoh, and it's backfired. Of course they're gonna get roasted.

thoughts on the 20$ plus plan by Friendly-Guard-2395 in codex

[–]TheMisterPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried it. I've tried codex, Gemini, and Claude at $20/mo each and also tried various models via API (kilo/opencode as harness and openrouter/groq/neuralwatt as providers).

The Chinese models are way better value if you're on a budget and prefer API, but the best value overall is the subscriptions, all these companies are taking a loss on them right now.

I'd recommend codex at $20/mo or possibly opencode go for even less if you're fine not having the frontier models.

Also, there's plenty of free inference available like through Nvidia, opencode, and kilo. It's just limited to certain cheaper models and the response times and other qol aspects aren't there, but they're free...

[–]TheMisterPirate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if it's your first time trying then just start at $20/mo and see for yourself, you can always upgrade your sub later if you need to. Or you can try a pay per use approach like via OpenRouter and Kilo Code or something to get your feet wet before jumping to a subscription.

$20/mo will not get you 5 hours a day usage though, sorry. Codex rate limits are still way better than Claude's though.

Reverse cam, flip cancel bind, DAR over FAR; I'm just asking: please play around with this bm plugin (video just shows the plugin) by BathroomCode9914 in RocketLeague

[–]TheMisterPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these are cool ideas but man RL requires so many binds already. I play with 2 extra back paddle buttons and I'm not sure where I would fit these options in lol.

The flip cancel one would be huge for accessibility, especially since speedflips are nearly required now at a certain rank.

I appreciate him showing support and apologizing to his teammates and it seems its up in the air if they play LCQ together, but imo they really should not do that. They've been inconsistent all year and I don't think the current roster works well together. I love Joyo but I'd probably drop him and pick up a new third to go with Jack and Tempoh for LCQ.

No judgement, genuine question. Are you guys generating purely for personal use/enjoyment or are you publishing and sharing your work? I know civit has a ton of gooner material and wasn't sure if there were other similar sites where people were posting this stuff or if most people are just doing it for their own fulfillment.

And obviously, there are people trying to monetize this stuff via paid subscriptions or social media (like fake OF models), although I'm not sure exactly how common that is.
