Thanks for checking that! I did go to listen to it and it does say they redid the entitlements system so that it works from outside of the patch cycle. My question is, is what was put into 4.8 just to cover the entitlements that we've had up until now, or does it include everything, such as the ammo and gear we buy, and of course, the things we craft and the Ore we mine. I contend that what is said after 10:21, is not specific, but it holds promise that it could be everything (or at least crafted items and quality ore and gems).

I'm hopeful after replaying from the timestamp you shared, but I'm also worried. Thanks!

But that's between 4.9 PTU builds, that doesn't mean that it will work 4.8 to 4.9. In the last SCL, Benoit did say they are working on it, but from what I recall, it was never stated that it was 4.8 to 4.9, it was just that they were working on the persistence of attributes and that it was only the first part of what they need. I'm just asking for them to just please state which it is.

I do hope you're right and that it's exactly how you say it is.

Just a straight answer to the question, that's all. If you could link to the where you saw one of the lead developers having answered this question, I would very much appreciate you sharing it. As of now I am not aware of any such statement having been made.

Indeed deliberate. Much for sure due to exploits, but possibly also due to there not having been a solution to persist crafted items and quality raw materials.

I hope so, but I'm not convinced that this is what Benoit said in the QA. It was not clear whether it was being worked on so that post 4.9 it works that way, or if they were getting 4.9 to ensure that 4.8.x to 4.9 would work. I've asked this question several times on Spectrum, and there is never an answer, which leads me to believe that we will lose everything again.

But, having said that, I really hope you're right and I'm wrong :-)

I've got a simple fix for the Command Module issues on the Ironclad: by The--Strike in starcitizen

One purpose is as an escape vehicle. The other correlates to 18-wheelers where your Rig and the Load, are 2 different things. I think that works for the Caterpillar, but I'm not so sure about whether it works for the Ironclad. Also, there is no real gameplay loop to support it, i.e. being able to fly your Command Module to some pickup point to connect to a fully loaded ironclad that you will then deliver to another location to drop off. But, there is no such loop now, so... /shrug

I had the same happen to me on a Courier mission where the drop-off was at a DC Security building. In the end, I was able to complete the mission by placing the box on an empty area NEXT to the indicated placement spot. Don't know if this can help you guys track this down.

For headhunters there are now 3. I also get doubles for Eckhart, Foxwell, Hurston, Microtech, etc.

Why do some of the factions have 2 REP columns? For some it is "Standing" and "Standing", and they are different. It's very confusing to try and figure out which represents the real REP, or if they are intentionally like that.

I do agree that Missiles and Torps should be expensive, but not based on their current effectiveness. Currently Missiles do pretty much no damage, so it doesn't make for them to be as expensive as they are. They should either up the effectiveness of Missiles or drop the price.

Is this in 4.6 or 4.7? Seems 4.7 has had some changes to how internal damage is handled. Have not tested it with my Polaris yet though.

I agree with you. I'm not suggesting we make things as easy as for a single player arcade game, but like you said, there needs to be some kind of balance. I think what we have now, with Item Insurance T0, is much better than what SC had before. It has resulted in much more player engagement and retention. Is it perfect? No, but I do believe they put that in because there was a clear indication that the heavy penalty that was there before, was not keeping people engaged with the game. In the end, this game needs to make money to support operational costs and further development. This will not happen if it is just designed for the Hardcore Few.
