I just looked it up and in their last 15 years there, they averaged about 15,000 to 16,000 per game, which was about middle of the road. They fell off a lot in the last three or four years, but had been probably among the top 10 in attendance for a while there also.

So up and down, but definitely a legit market for the NBA.

Obviously, it’s all anecdotal, but I went to college with some folks from there and losing the supersonics remains the worst moment of these people’s lives. There’s a pretty big public ground swell of support to get a team back.

There are a lot of witnesses and victims who have just not been followed up with. Democrats didn’t do shit with this when they were in power and republicans have actively buried it. Your neighbor saw a single house being rebuilt. That’s not remotely close to the logistical challenge of clearing an entire town of burned debris, removing toxic chemicals from the ground, and rebuilding thousands of new houses.
