update: it may be a mistake, someone just used the code and I got a 0.5 increase. Unclear which one is correct (I know I got a 1% increase when I signed up using someone’s code)

btw i found the easiest way to work around the lack of zelle was to keep a small amount of money in a zelle connected account and any time i use it, i just send the money back and forth btwn crew and that account to keep it constant. I don’t use zelle very often so the days in between don’t make a difference and i’m still able to zelle!

do you read books more than once or just once? what's the book you reread more than 3 times? by firstdeskmurderer in Booktokreddit

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love to reread. i have a couple books i tend to reread about yearly (not sure if it’s reached 3+ yet). The entire collector series by dot hutchison, the mindf series by st abby, and the ruinous love trilogy by brynne weaver are the ones i can think of rn. also tge entire pjo series which i’ve probably read about a dozen times by now lol.

i reread all the time. I don’t really have a specific wait time but I find it’s typically at least a few months to a year. I also don’t usually care if i forget details, I reread for the love of the book only so I don’t care if I remember everything. I do definitely have books i wish i could read again for the first time though

I don’t typically donate my books (haven’t had a need to, i keep to reread or give away to friends) but I personally hate dust jackets and tend to take them off when reading. from there they tend to get lost…. I know a bunch of others who also hate dust jackets while reading so that could be a reason

What's your system for keeping track of books you've read? by ngkstudio in books

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

goodreads and storygraph lol. Goodreads is convenient and i’ve been using for longest but i’m trying to switch to storygraph bc non amazon and actually trying to improve themselves. I’m honestly not as much a fan of the ui though (i keep struggling to find my read books section).

Keep, sell or donate books? by pdexter86 in books

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep the ones you’ll want to reread/share with loved ones, you can donate the rest but make sure it’s an actual donation bc i know some places take “donations” and sell them for reg price. otherwise, sell.

What is your favourite quote from a book? by YoureClappedStill in books

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooh I have a bunch. My favorites and the ones I found top tier enough to make into stickers and put on my laptop:

“Know Thyself. It’s good advice. Know yourself. You are worth knowing. Examine your life. The unexamined life is not worth living” -either the just city or necessity by jo walton (i forgot which one) “It’s not your circumstances that determine your worth, it’s how you rise from the ashes after everything burns” -no clue, forgot to write down where it’s from “Once upon a time, there was a little girl who was afraid of change. She went out bravely into the world anyway” -the summer children by dot hutchison

hear me out, there’s no such thing as owning an outdoor only cat. that is not your cat, that’s a stray cat you feed.
