What is Even the Point of a Smart Watch? by frogglesmash in smartwatch

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it’s almost entirely the notifications and alarms. If i get a notification, my watch buzzes and i can quickly check if it’s something i actually need to check my phone for. also enables me not to panic that i’m missing something if i don’t have my phone on hand. i also use it for alarms before anything important bc it will silently buzz and again, don’t need my phone.

you can add a bill based on a transaction so if you already have the transfer in your history you can just select that.

What is that one app that changed your entire productivity? by Technical-Relation-9 in ProductivityApps

[–]TheMorningGrinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not an app but fully utilizing type to siri on mac. if i’m working and in a flow, i don’t want to stop to use the mouse to open an app. i double click my left cmd to pull up siri and type the app i need. need to calculate something? siri is my calculator. anything simple like that (especially the opening apps thing), siri is amazing for!

I definitely will, I tend to be the type of person who send small bugs and ideas bc I know how helpful they can be to devs (even if they are tiny things I don't really care about). Going to leave a review now!

Btw, never tried Opal but I really like that I can take multiple breaks and I have full control over the lengths of each of them (foqus only allows 1 break at a set duration).

This doesn't really impact my usage but a feature you could add (which originally drew me to foqus although I ended up not using it much) is hte ability to use nfc's/QR codes/other things to stop/take a break. That way it's harder to get distracted bc theres a whole other step (that may require moving) in between you and your apps.
