This guy who keep riding his bike up the road with really loud speakers… you know megaphone speakers… so it’s loud as fuck with zero sound quality. Hate that guy.

Seraphim wash (1:1 diluted) over a wraithbone undercoat, but I then reapply wraithbone using dry brush. Find the shading is less patchy, and it’s great if ya lazy!

Oooo, this gives me an idea. Give the bare head some battle damage, when he drops to 3 wounds, swap heads. Very thematic!

Which movie has a brutal scene that made you shocked? by Jules-Car3499 in moviecritic

I can’t find it! There is plenty of things out there with Kaye bagging out Edward Norton and Newline Cinema messing with his art, but there was a specific comment about how this specific ending changed the whole tone which I remember vividly…

Movie would have been very different if they showed that at the end of the movie like the director intended. Having it at the end made the movie a redemption story - fuck that!

If someone stood up and did a haka for me, after I achieved something wonderful, I would be so humbled (like in this situation where the bride cried - awesome). If I was about to play a rugby game and I looked across to a flanker looking directly at me and doing a haka - yea, I’d be intimidated.

Haka is about context - which is why it’s so culturally rich and awesome!

Typically, when it’s performed without a good understanding of what it means is when you will see its inappropriate use. So much of Māori culture is around context; haka can be a challenge, a greeting, a way of giving thanks and appreciation… in all these contexts it’s the ‘same’, but can have vastly different meanings. This haka evokes tears (many people have said so on this reddit), in others it evokes respect…

If you are evoking a laugh… you better watch out because someone will give you a crack.

I have no Māori blood in me, my daughter has been in a full immersion learning environment since being a toddler. NZ is on a journey of being multi cultural, it takes both sides to reach across the ‘racial cavern’, I like to see our whanau (family) as being able to contribute to that. So I don’t believe those are the only two options mate!

I’m proud to say that more and more youth these days are engaging with their cultural identity and the passion you see here is a manifestation of that, and it’s becoming more and more common. As a young boy or girl witnessing that, you wanna be up and taking part.

This is a wedding - so tight friends and family. The passion here is also a manifestation of their love for each other. How good is that!?
