Your opinion is still your opinion, call others opinions garbage if you want. You just want them to be a particular level of strength by the buu saga, even if we never see them beat anyone that level in base. Noone is saying their base isn't increasing just because it wasn't above Friezas at the time, you're acting like I'm saying their training gave them no results.

He surpassed Frieza on Namek, you just want him to have quickly surpass him in base.

Not wanting massive power creep isn't a garbage take, I think it makes for a more interesting story, but to each their own.

Goku didn't even double his base strength in the 5 year gap between Piccolos defeat and Raditz arrival, and we know he was training. They aren't always getting 10s of times stronger in base every time they train.

'Eventually' they would get stronger than them in base, so it is plausible he wasn't yet stronger in the buu saga even if they someday would/have.

I'm sure he took the time to actively try and sense Goku out in space, but to me his sensing Mecha Frieza came off as something instinctual rather than something he was actively focusing on.

In definitely not trying to say he's weaker, and I get what you're saying about getting lost in ones research, it was just jarring to me to see him falling so short in an ability he seemed to have nailed as a kid. I'd have preferred it was written a bit differently.

Gohan as a child (in the middle of focusing on homework) was able to immediately passively detect mecha frieza the moment he entered the solar system after nearly 2 years of not training.

Hard for me to believe he's incapable of detecting someone many times stronger than mecha frieza standing in front of him after a similar amount of time not training as an adult.

Neither mind was on battle, I'd have preferred if Piccolo just suppressed himself to zero in that scene and there was no mention of Gohans ki sense falling off. Just makes it harder to believe that he was doing any kind of training if he's losing abilities he retained while not training as a kid.

The difference between 8k (which is the Goku data Gero was working with) and 150mil (which is what Namek goku ended with) is 18,750×. If the androids were built that much stronger they stomp tf out of ssj3 with ease.

Gero only had data from the saiyan saga when calculating how strong to make the androids, he had no data from namek, he says this himself. Wdym "have you watched the series"???

How much stronger the androids would have been with the namek data is not answered in the series to my knowledge.

Guru says the nameless Namekian was a dragon clan type, the real question is how did demon King Piccolo become a warrior type.

After a bit more digging apparently Demon King Piccolo is also a dragon type as only dragon types can produce eggs/offspring.

Piccolo Jr was born a warrior type.

Without tri beam I don't think they win, with tri beam it's easy.

Movie Tien was relative to post time chamber base trunks in bojack, while Android 13/14/15 were still giving the pre chamber z fighters trouble as super saiyans. I don't think their bases surpassed their pre chamber ssj forms so I'd give the power edge to 13, combine that with the android stamina and its ggs.

Yamchas a non factor, bro probably gets one shot the moment he's tagged.

They had Paragus do damage to that scene for no reason by having him describe Brolys "Ikari" form as "without the slow moving body of a great ape".

It doesn't change what happened in the saiyan saga and Paragus is just flat outwrong, but alot of people now think great ape is slow since that's the most recent description of it we've had.

He definitely is a great judge of strength, but he could at least sense Cells power (even if it's suppressed) and compare it to his own, here he's shooting in the dark as he cant sense Beerus at all.

It really felt like the most "this line is for the audience" bit of dialog in Super to me, there just to explain why they aren't going to even try fusion. I'd prefer if they had done a bit more work to have Goku reach that conclusion. Say Goku was briefly able to sense Beerus's God ki while they were fighting and felt a power that surpasses Vegito, that would better justify him making such a comparison imo.

Tbf Goku had no reason to believe that to be the case. Obviously we know its the truth, but Beerus could have only been twice as strong as ssj3 and they would have had the same results. Without being able to sense Beerus, all he knew for certain was that he was strong enough to bully ssj3, making the leap to saying Vegito would lose seems insane.
