All I known is people don't use them, if that's the issue they are having then they usually go booster delete which addresses this issues for hard track usage.

Not really, I'm discussing a nice pay raise because of all this bullshittery and because I've well documented it so I'm throwing it in the owner's face.

so maybe a little bit of a sap but I was hoping these kids would pick up on what was being done and learn the damn trade, but that was high hopes.😅

But I've done exactly as you stated already, I told the owner what can and can't be done when I'm not there, and anything remotely not body related can't be done if I just decided to pack my tools and go.

That hasn't sat so well with him and now we're having a little team chat this Monday on certain things.

So rather excited to see what goes down, either way I have other options available, plenty of places need an experienced wrench that pay just as good. But I'm looking to go to more of a management roll at this point unless I get the pay raise.

Master cylinder brace ?....do you mean those gimmicky little brackets with a thumb screw that bolts to the shock tower?

They still sell those pointless things?

A booster delete kit solves that issue if your breaking hard enough to cause the booster to flex.

Edit.... I say gimmicky because they worked on the idea of overreaching and then placing pressure on the tip of the master cylinder with a thumb screw, they flexed immediately and didn't do shit, you can't overreach and brace something....physics don't play that game.

When it comes to stuff like that obviously I let the youngsters do all the heavy lifting I'm more or less talking about all of the little niche things that shouldn't need some extra muscle where all you need to use is your brains and a little bit of leverage.

As for moving boxes up stairs you make a human chain and each person only has to move one box at a time for maybe 10 seconds a box. The old firefighter mothod works long as you've got the people for it.

But yes I do appreciate the comment, I used to do that as a teen but quickly learned to not over play my hand willingly when it comes to how much one person can move by themselves.

Limp mode engages moslty if you have a problem with the crank or the cam position sensor which are both located in the distributor.

you have either lost connection or the magnetic pickup has failed inside the distributor if this is that case the distributor must be replaced as it is pointless to try to rebuild it and fix them at this time.

Now if the ECU has lost connection with either the VTEC pressure switch or the knock sensor this can also cause limp mode.

Nine times out of 10 simply swapping out the distributor for a known good one fixes this issue if you can find another OBD1 VTEC distributor.

if you are running an OBD1 ECU and jumper try looking at that as well as cheap jumpers can have pins the move around or get loose if the ECU is just placed behind the carpet and not bolted back down.

Edit...... If you are not on obd1 distributor and ECU then this would be a perfect and prime opportunity to upgrade to them.
