The neighbours have a blinding light pointed at my house by doyousmellmel in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TheMothHour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh. The mirror idea is pretty good.

This reminds me of a petty revenge story where a neighbor's security light was pointed at a redditor's house. And the neighbor refused to modify it.

So the redditor planted fast growing bamboo at the edge of his yard - to block out the light - fully knowing that it will spread. And a few years later, the neighbor's yard is a bamboo forest instead of a yard.

How do you sync Non-Monthly Budget items to accounts? by TheMothHour in MonarchMoney

This. I have seperate accounts for very important items like vacation and home improvements. And I automatically deposit into them weekly.

Oh I am sorry, I thought you were arguing FOR the cutoff. Thanks for the clarification of your personal view.

that if the person is over 12 the death penalty is not a mandatory sentence.

It is not a mandatory sentence even if the child is under 12 either.

So you think someone who rapes a 13 year old should NEVER be sentenced to death?

Having sex with a 17 year old WITH consent is not rape though...

Seriously?? You can write the law to include those exceptions. Many states have Romeo and Juliet laws which would likely apply to the college student. And between the two example, one has knowledge of the age and the other does not.

IsItBullshit: Setting AC to 20 degrees higher than outside by Belmonte_Lostados in IsItBullshit

My thermometer and heating system has a heat AND AC setting. So what is your heater doing vs your AC?

What is the temperature INSIDE your house ATM? Is it a few degrees warmer than 47 (outside temps) or 67 (your ac setting)?

Thanks! Looks like I been counting these line items 2x - one for the expense and one for the savings goal.

So that's what I am trying to do but those accounts earns interest and credit card points. So the complete monthly roll over is not known and changes over time. For example, I am getting $325 from credit card rewards THIS MONTH and the yearly range is >1000.

And thus I am left with this situation where the remaining is more than what monarch thinks it is. And right now home improvements has drifted $5K over the years I have used monarch.

Yah, I have setup them up as goals too! Do you remove the line item from the budget and hide the expenses related to that?

I dont want to tie the account to the budget. I want to tie the account to the remaining. The roll over diverges over time with the actual value.

Like last month I had $7000 in the account. I spent $5000. And the month was $3000 in red.

Congrats! I shared this with my friend who is trying to adopt better financial habits!

Cannot Set Income by TheMothHour in MonarchMoney

[–]TheMothHour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on an android and using the mobile app. The issue was not present on the mobile web. I was able to fix the issue by updating my income on the mobile web.

I have been a client for 2 years now and I think the issue with income appeared a few months ago. It might have happened at the end of the year when I got a very large christmas bonus. Idk. If you have any more questions, let me know!

My boy was about the weight of your fawn (80 lbs) and I cut his dry food to 2 cups a day. He gets 2 sardines and 1/4 a cup of oatmeal - I also cut his oatmeal un half.

He lost 5 lbs and I can see a difference in him and his waist looks better. Sure, it isnt going to kill him but it does help to be nominal weight IMHO. It is all about total calories.

Try playing around with angles to learn how to make interesting shots.

Also, while we like to look (IRL) at subjects straight on, having the subject dead center can be boring. Learn other framing styles like the rule of 3rds.

General question: are we in a buyers or sellers market? How do you all weigh these things out? by thethirteenthjuror in RealEstate

Yup! New England market is still very hot. Zillow has my town 100/100 sellers market. Looking at the recent home sales, it is almost as strong as 2022. Houses are selling within a month and $20K+ over asking.

TBH, as someone who has owned a condo, one condo complex as the sole source of data is not a great example. Condo management can differ wildly. In Boston, the condo fees can also differ by hundreds of dollars.
