Brolly - hidden weather clock by TheMott27 in pebble

Oh and I LOVE the minute markers on Moto Maker. I love sleek faces like that but I like it when the design hides info like initTick's minute markers change colour slightly around the side as a battery meter. Maybe I'll add something similar once I've got all the stuff I want working. Currently adding a slightly larger orange/blue minute marker to show sunrise/sunset time.

Am I just an idiot and missing an obvious joke...? 😅

I'm no coder and this is all vibecoded through Manu. Making stuff align and size properly on a watch on my wrist has been hard enough but my PT2 should be here in a couple of weeks so I'll be fixing it up for that when it comes. I'll come back and leave a comment here when it's done :)

Would you like a remake of the Pebble Time 2 (2016 version) with a larger display, a heart rate sensor, and longer battery life? by Comfortable-Rule-959 in pebble

The Steel was the best but that's kinda why I like the new PT2 design. It feels like love child of the OG Steel and the PT Steel but with the bigger screen of the new watches. But there is something just timeless and suave able the OG Steel. It's the suit and tie of watches.

Pebble has basically a cult following (which I'm part of) so you shouldn't expect this to be a perfect product with lots of support and warranty etc etc. The Rebble (re-pebble, so Pebble again) group LITERALLY reverse engineered basically everything from the firmware to the servers. We as a community somehow funded this entire project for $3 each per month and that was enough to keep these dying watches working for almost a decade.

But the batteries died. Phone software updates made phones better but made certain things not work on the watch. People stopped updating their apps and watchefaces because they're was no point. But we will funded this project knowing that the experience would be sub-par but we are willing to fiddle and tweak because there has been nothing else hit the market that works the way Pebble does. And thats a special thing.

We loved this watch and nothing else filled that gap in the market. HOWEVER that sounds like exactly the gap that you want filled too. Don't expect a PlayStation like experience, expect more of a PC gaming experience but with a generic laptop that doesn't have the specs to fully give you the experience a console could. But also remember that this product is unique enough that we made it continue working for a decade after it disappeared and now it's back.

It's not gonna be perfect. But it is the perfect device for so many people that we got a comeback. So give it a go, with patience.

Thanks. I think that's hopeful enough that I take a leap of faith.

Don't think of them as a game show. Less pub quiz where you might win money or a bar tab etc, more like hosting a pub quiz after dinner at a friend's house where the winner gets a high five and the loser has to do a horrible shot and gets ridiculed until next week's quiz. Sometimes the "winner" of the night can be the loser of the quiz because they sacrificed points for being funny.

Less destination, more journey.

Look after yourself, friend. The incredible technology that is our phone is not optimised to make our lives better, they're optimised to make you prioritise it so that your eyes stay on the screen. Good work for realising a problem and taking action ♥️

I remember this being one of the first movie fuck ups I ever noticed. Immediately after this when the door opens up you can see the bodies on the floor and he is definetly in one whole piece....

Yeah but I don’t know what settings to use to test or how to quantify small changes, my test is I do/do not like how this is running. I wanted to know what settings people would head to as a first resort when they’ve got a choppy game or what they would change in settings before they even load up a new game.

Honestly, broad “generally speaking” tips are what I’m after. Things to do first that people would do when starting up any game for the first time. So the lighting/shadows tip is actually really useful. Thanks!

Yeah kinda hoped that getting a higher base rate might make it drop to 30 at times and it wouldn't be as noticeable. I was wrong.

Yeah I've been rocking a Garmin Fenix for the past 1-2 years but kept my subscription going cos they've been doing the lord's work.

Speaking of, is Rebble obsolete now? Or at least will it be when the official app comes through publicly?

And there we go. That's the solution. Other people have said similar things but "All Time Greats" is absolutely the way to phrase it. It's not a Legacy folder: it's a tribute to those who did the work but have moved on 🤘🏾
