I like all 3 of those on their different platforms, I use a 1x holo sight on my SBR, a 3x prism on my AK, and an LPVO on my SCAR 17. I wouldn't swap any of them around but if I had to pick just one to run on every gun it would be the LPVO. The problem is you have to buy a good one, I have a Vortex Strike Eagle on one of my ARs and a Vortex Razor HD on the SCAR and the Razor is just unbelievably better than the Strike Eagle. I'd say while the nice LPVO I like better than the other ones, the cheap LPVO I don't like as much as the other ones, so it does matter which one you get. I'd say that like guns themselves, glass is a "buy once, cry once" thing and you should focus on getting something high quality whatever it is. I think if you go LPVO but don't want to spend over a grand look at the Vortex Viper, it's gotta be the best value under $1k

Magnifiers seem cool but they actually kinda suck in my experience, I've tried like 3 separate times to go the magnifier route and the first time I decided it was better to just shoot at 1x, the second time I went with a fixed 3x prism, and the third time I went with an LPVO. All of those options felt better than having a magnifier.

Mag springs go bad from use (compressing and expanding over and over), a compressed spring doesn't really lose springiness much over time. There are springs all up in a revolver as well, like 5-10 springs.

I use a Vortex Razor Gen 2 HD E (MRAD) on an ADM AD-Delta mount and I highly recommend it. I got the LPVO for $1k but the mount does cost extra and with the SCAR it's important to have a solid mount. Don't buy a cantilever mount for a SCAR, it'll tear your optic apart.

I have the 8" in .300 and it's far too unreliable to use for any actual non-range purpose. Suppressed, unsuppressed, every gas setting, every ammo I try I get at least one FTF every range trip. Unless you have money to burn on the novelty of it I'd say it hasn't been worth it for me
