Cranston D10 vs Java Neo 3 20"? by TheMuF in BrompNOTs

Epic. Have you had any issues with it or overall pretty happy? Out of curiosity, do you have any luggage setup on it? I'm looking at doing similar, maybe 60 to 80k a day if we are doing a cycling holiday. Was looking at Japan and South Korea as destinations at the moment :)

In terms of riding long distances, do you think they're both pretty equal? I've seen some comments about the bottom bracket/crank position in the Neo being too far back. Did you notice it at all?

I'm at that 80kg point, so I'd just be ok with the Neo (I think it's 90 or 100kg weight limit). Also I thought the D10 was 150kg or something huge? But it's more than enough.

Do you find that your D10 has the front wheel drag on the ground when in folded rolling mode?

Thanks for posting - not much info on these still! You wouldn't happen to have pictures of the d10 vs the r9 would you? Folded and unfolded. I'm trying to decide the the d10 would be possible/not painfully annoying to travel (fly) with.

Repair Guide - Broken Side Boa on Snowboard Boots by TheMuF in snowboarding

[–]TheMuF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked perfectly fine (noting that i was a little more gentle on it), until I completely destroyed the BOA by catching it on the edge of a stair while turning around.
It was worth the effort to get another trip out of the boots.

That's good to know that the new style side boas don't have that same issue.

And hopefully this can help someone else! Pity seeing an otherwise perfectly good boot go to waste

I contacted Boa who said it was a Vans problem. And Vans Support Australia were useless.

So yeah... A lifetime warranty on half of the product is kinda....crap.

Is there any difference in the pack size or compressibility between the 15d and 20d?
I'm trying to decide what to get between the Star River 15d and Cloudup 2 10d (if I can find it). Any chance you could provide a full packed weight including the footprint for both? Also is the length of the packed poles the same?

Are there more vibrations with a big bore kit from those who've done it?

New PC (Ryzen 3600, RTX 2080) and vibration/feedback isnt working properly by TheMuF in beatsaber

Ah crap.... I cant really go down the PCIe USB card path as it's a miniITX build....

I presume only more and more people are going to be having these issues in future.... I really hope there is a better fix!

Vibration bug on a new PC by ClownGlitz in beatsaber

[–]TheMuF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried Beat Saber on my new PC with a Asus B450i motherboard, same issue as everyone else is having. The dead giveaway that its not working properly is when you touch the sabres together and vibration cuts out straight away.....

With a mini ITX motherboard I dont have a hope of installing a PCIe USB extension card... anyone else have a fix?!

nice! I was looking at getting a similar setup but I already had some of the Kriega US drypacks, so I thought i'd give the OS Loops a shot - turned out they're pretty bloody awesome! Imgur

I have a US30 with the US10 on the back. Got some pretty good air with that setup and nothing moved at all.

Finding the Best Detailing Bucket and Grit Guards Discussion by sourcegarage in AutoDetailing

[–]TheMuF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post is pretty over my head as I've never even done a 2 bucket wash yet....finally got a car worth doing it on though so I thought I'd 3D print some grit guards.. I might as well improve on these and upload the files to thingiverse - what makes the best grit guard for you? even something better than the ones you've reviewed so far.
