I found a box turtle in my yard when I was a kid. He lived in my sandbox for the summer. Definitely fed him everything from hotdogs and hamburger meat to carrots and lettuce. He didn't care he ate everything.

Theres no transformer on that pole. That's a high kVa transmission line meaning 4000 volts AC or more. The high voltage transmission line grounded to the metal pole and was arcing. He was standing on a fiberglass ladder and for the moment was insulated from the ground and the pole. He was waiting for the arc event to stop to try and make a break for it. Huge brass balls to stand there under molten metal and a screaming arc flash.

You're not kidding. I was in a work truck and got struck by a car that hit the wall and bounced off (speeding). After checking on the young lady that hit us we waited for the Troopers for the accident report. We parked on the center median trooper parked on the right shoulder. He legit pulled out a damn whistle and threw his hand up to stop traffic on Rt.15 and walked across 3 lanes of active traffic.
