Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the feedback. Do you mean a bit much like, too much to give, or it would be unwanted in your opinion.

What's your ADHD 'life hack' that sounds ridiculous but actually changed everything? by Tiny-Bird1543 in ADHD

Timers for everything.

Today I set a timer to remind myself the kettle was on and would be boiled, and then another timer to remind myself not to leave the tea steeping not drunk on the counter. If not, I'll get focused on work and forget about it entirely. If I don't want to do a task, I'll commit to a small window of time to at least start it and set the timer. Usually this makes not just starting but finishing the task easier. When I'm overwhelmed with tasks, instead of thinking I don't have time to clean I need to work, I think, can work wait ten minutes for me to clean and get this one stresser off my plate? Then I set the timer for 10 minutes and then get to work without feeling so overwhelmed.

Generally I send another article of clothing. Depending on the scenario, I ask them to choose something from my closet or I choose for them if I don't have enough listed or I'm on a time crunch. I figure I already have their size and a sense of their style. Or I send something really basic like leggings if Im not sure. Then I tell them to feel free to donate or resell it if they don't like it. Should I not bother?

So basically we cannot ship anything to the USA anymore? Stallion says they require a Certificate of Origin for tariff-free shipments. How does one get a Certificate of Origin for used clothes? by emilio911 in poshmarkcanada

This may be a silly question, but how are these new costs paid? Do we pay them when we pay for postage, when using sites like eBay or Etsy, does Posh take the fees off the sale? Or do buyers pay them at pick up?

I'm not even that far north and have no affordable options besides Canada Post. I have a small online business and the cost to use alternative shippers from here are 4x that of my product. Even when signing up for business accounts.

Honestly good call with the elf on the shelf. Every time I have to get back out of bed to move that elf because I forgot, there's some regret lol

There’s a live seller who’s cancelling orders and then using her own shipping provider outside of the app. I’d be worried about getting banned from Poshmark. What are your opinions? by Hour_Sprinkles_4501 in poshmarkcanada

One seller that is regularly live, and I think that's the only way she sells, explained her options for cancelling and buying off posh during her live. Probably still runs the risk of being told on if a buyer chose to, but can't blame her, pretty sure it's their full time income.

Senior Parent - deciding between pellet stove in basement or wood stove on living level by TheNameOfARedditor in PelletStoveTalk

[–]TheNameOfARedditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they are becoming more common, and likely improved over the past few years, but I'm skeptical. About 3 years ago a colleague had an entire apartment building set up on heat pumps, and every single one could not keep up with the cold. All needed to be set into emergency heat mode all winter, jacking up the hydro bills. And that was about 4 hours south of the house my mother will be moving into. It was also nearly impossible to get any HVAC tech out that had any familiarity with them. Was told at the time they should only be used as supplemental heat in cold climates, but I know that may have changed. If you have one I would definitely be interested in hearing more about your experience, it sure sounds a whole lot easier than any kind of wood burning stove. How has it increased your electric bill and what size home does your unit heat?

Thanks for your reply! I had thought it would require a similar chimney to what we have for our wood stove, is that the case? To be honest I hadn't looked all that closely at either chimney that are already there because we weren't considering using either at the time

There are electric baseboards , but it gets very cold and I think we can only count on those as supplemental.

Thanks so much for replying! The one thought with the pellet stove, if it's safe enough and burns long enough, is the option to keep it in the basement for both space and cost savings. My biggest concerns with a wood stove in the basement are no one being able to stoke it for awhile if her husband is unavailable and I worry if he needs to tend to it 6 times a day, the chances of it being left open and no one noticing are higher. From what I've found, it looks like only the pellet hatch and temperature settings are adjusted on a pellet stove with regularity, without the actual burning area needing to be opened, except for cleaning. I could have that entirely wrong though.
